Don't answer if you're just going to say 'cause he's an idiot! That's a given. I want to know in what context he said this? What was he talking about? Was there some sort of scandal surrounding the women's team? I mean, no one makes that sort of comment unless there is a reason, whether or not it was racist or sexist. Did one of the girls pose nude or something? I hate to say it but they're really blowing this way out of proportion. Look at all the rappers who use the term "hos" and "nappy headed" isn't exactly the "N" word. I'm flipping thru my channels this morning and on a religious channel, some biggoted pastor is condeming homosexuals, saying HORRIBLE things, how come that's allowed? And what about freedom of speech and opinion? The guy apologized and accepted a suspension and will meet with the team and is BEGGING for forgiveness! Enough already. And don't call me racist because I have a half-sister is half black and I have black friends and have dated black men....

I really don't get it...you NEED validation from a nutcase that you are a worthy entity?

WHY do you give a moron air time? It's like listening to lawyers hem-n-haw about how innocent their clients are...WE DON'T CARE!

And if someone get's your goat(and you LET people bother you), remeber you live in the U.S.A.

It's your RIGHT to state what you think of people, even if it's fundamentally wrong, we all have 1st Amendement rights. We don't settle issues here with guns, and street brawls between warlords. Our laws have made everyone acountable for some 200 years...so LOVE America and your God given rights.

In the wake of the Don Imus racial slurs, the "Reverend" Al Sharpton in a televised interview stated, 'Forgiveness is not the issue here."

In the Christian Bible it states that if a man asks forgiveness from man or god that such is his right. So where does a so called Christian minister get off debunking the concept of forgiveness? Imus apologized for his actions and is being punished; should not then a Christian minister 'turn the other cheek'?

Are Imus Limbaugh Coulter and their ilk comedians or what?
Every time these nasty hateful sociopaths accidentally spew something really evil and offensive they are "joking".

Imus couldn't have posted his joke on Yahoo questions and answers.

www.realchange.org/sharpton.htm ? Why is he preaching the same hate and telling Imus he should be fired and yet Al has his own show?Does this actually make sense to anyone?

I belive that people like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are always the first to make something out of nothing when it comes to blacks in America. I am hispanic (not white) so a minority, those two are the first to make it Black vs White. I don't recall those two in a national spotlight when negative stories of them came out. It's not a Black and White thing Mr. Jessie (I am a very wealthy african american off of these types of issues) Jackson.

Are you getting sick of this constant cycle of has-beens (or never-wases) making an outrageous comment, getting blasted by losers like Al Sharpton, receiving tons of publicity, and then making numerous apologies?

Aren't we wasting our time with this nonsense? Aren't so-called "leaders" like Sharpton and Jackson lowering the racial debate by making it about idiots like Don Imus and Michael Richards instead of the larger issues?

Our country is stuck in a dead-end war, our national reputation is as low as it's ever been, and our federal government is as corrupt as it's ever been -- and Jesse Jackson, a supposed leader and role model of his people, is mounting numerous protests against Don Imus? Because of some stupid comment he made about a basketball team on his radio show?

Don't these people have anything better to do? Bigger fish to fry? Or are they as trivial and insignificant as their complaints make them out to be?

It is so funny that as soon as something happens that just shows the lack of unity in this country by its own citizens-ONCE AGAIN-how so many unintelligent, racially motivated people come out of the wood work yet can never show their faces on their comments or questions they ask?

Although we have come far, racism and gender-stereotyping is still alive and well, and since this Imus-Rutgers debacle, I see so many have once again come to the front and have shown their "true" sides. Yet wont show their faces. What are yall's thoughts?

What Imus said compared to most rap and hip hop songs is nothing. How can you be outraged when this language is an everyday occurance with some people in your own culture ?

First of all, what the heck is 'nappy headed'? and how is it rude or racist? I dont even know what it means, secondly the word 'ho's' is part of the American lexicon now, its common for millionaire rappers and other 'artists' to call women "ho's".... finally, has anyone heard Michael Weiner aka Michael Savage? Now that man should be banished from radio, not this guy....I don't even give a damn for Imus, but Rush and Savage are the two real racist, talk show people out there.

Just wanted to send a great big Canadian hug and kiss Thank You for coming to the aid of our peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan. I just read your government is sending more troops to help keep the Taliban terrorists from regaining any more ground or power. If more NATO countries would grow some balls and step up to seriously fight these terrorists than maybe we could bring peace to the Afghan people. On behalf of our troops and their families back home I say thanks again.
My question is how do you feel about the lack of support from the other NATO countries in Afghanistan? and how do you think we could encourage them to help?

I am sooooo over talking about trivial prejudice. Prejudice is often confused with racism. I am not interested in talking about who gets away with what especially concerning isssues that are so controversial that a consensus is highly unlikely. I am tired of hollywood couples, e.g. Bradgelina, Jayonce . . . . I am sick of Rosie and the View, Britney Spears and I was sick of Imus/Rutgers before it started. How much attention is given to the real news nowadays and what does that say about the average American?

Do you think that he should be fired for what he said or do you think that it was just a slip of the mouth.
