Sharpton's history is laden with racist quotes - he's particularly fond of bashing Jews (for which he became famous around the 1991 Crown Heights riots), though he's obviously not fond of any whites.

Oh, and let's not leave Jesse Jackson out of the fun either - he is famous for referring to New York City as "Hymietown" in 1984.

Great question*
Sharpton hands down because he's self promoting, smarter, expedient, opportunist, political more than "reverend" and knows exactly what he's doing , taking no prisoners and unable to get off the screen. Imus stupidly and arrogantly thinks what he has to say is worthwhile or funny. which he isn't. He often acts like a chavanistic redneck and I never could understand why he was never called on it for any number of insulting remarks he has made on screen. He'll get what he deserves and one day Sharpton will have his day too. I defend or support neither of them. And Jesse should shut up too...he's no better than either of them.

Wow. Most the people in this group need to wake up from the 'Matrix' you guys are living in. Can anyone of you cite actual facts, or a qoute from Al Sharpton saying anything against any race of people?
You guys are definetly living in a dream world to say Al Sharpton is a racist. I guess you are the same guys that were furious when O.J got off? or angry that you can't say the 'N' word, but black people can? LOL.

Also to answer some of you who say rappers say this all the time. Can any of you cite any rapper or rap song, that distinctly say that 'black woman are ho's?........Please email with the answer. Usually rappers are calling women in 'general' ho's. What makes you guys think they are talking about specifically black women? Most sales of rap songs are made by white people. Maybe they are calling the people who buy there music, ho's. hmmmm????

Wow. Knowledge is really power. Peace

I truly believe it is Sharpton. Does making a comment make you a racist? I don't believe so. I think it is a moment of stupidity. The big problem in America right now is reverse racism is almost acceptable. You have things like BET, United ***** College fund, and African American Colleges, but can you imagine the uproar if there was WET (White entertainment television), United Caucasian college Fund, of Caucasian American College fund? I thought the original aim of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jacksons campaigns was equality. SHouldn't that be the true fight here. If we are going to blame Imus for what he said and hold him accountable, then we have to hold every rapper, author, and speaker accountable for their words. Wait a minute... Then what happened to freedom of speech?

Sharpton. Alongside Jesse Jackson, he's always been a racist and a lying hypocrite.

No one I know (I'm an African-American who was raised in the church) really cares for either of them, either. Sharpton's perm, and Jackson's Extramarital affair, have not won them any support from Black America, and I will gladly voice my support for any respectable measure to take them down from their respective high horses.

Imus
People keep saying "rappers say this". THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. He said something against a group of girls, not all of them are black by the way, that were participating in a sporting event. There were not in videos or doing anything demeaning. Stop trying to blame rappers or black America. We all know that this will blow over and Imus will be right back on the radio. Trust me it isn't going to hurt him in the long run. So stop crying about Rev. Sharpton, he has the right like every body else to stand up for his people.

it's people like you who dont understand the BIG point, its not about who's a racist. your question would have been better worded...Whose the bigger hypocrite? But the main focus isnt on that either... really think about it!!!
