Well knowing my six year old and the questions that he asks on a daily basis without seeing the discovery channel, I'd say filter the programming. Although natural, thier inquisitive minds will ask about topics you may not be ready to discuss.

I don't have a child, but I think its a great alternative to some of the violent and ignorant cartoons out there. If they have to be in front of a TV, it might as well be on a station thats educational.
