Don Imus has been relieved of his airtime for his inappropriate remarks. To me it's well deserved. He'll next probably have a tuff time booking guests, etc. That's happened behind the scenes elsewhere. Due to hard work and allitle light shown it's at an end.
He's got seasoned chops and do you think America is ready to forgive him once he gets back?

I actually think the term "nappy headed ho's" is funny.I'm not racist, but I enjoy a good joke. Does anyone out there actually get offended other than Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

As someone who was fired for being politically incorrect I can testify that it didn't set me on the path to correct thinking and talking. It just made me even more cynical and uncorrect. Good old Uncle Joe (Stalin) had it right and its about time we just kill anyone who dares cross the line of correct thinking

I'm pretty sure that Chaney and his pals at Haliburton must have coached Don UImus about how to make racist remarks. Oh, and Mitt Romney probably helped, too. What do you think?

Ok, you all know the story by now...
Imus has been suspended for two weeks by MSNBC and CBS.

Did you find his on-air apologies sincere and credible?
Is he a RACIST, regardless that he denies it?
What reallly should have happened to him?

As things improve in Iraq and the economic woes of faled tax and spend schemes take shape, certainly the character flaws of Nancy Pelosi will become wider known. How bout giving Don some advice on this one and he could regain some good will on driving home a household catch phrase to describe the speaker of the house vividly versus just an otherwise out of control liberal extremist.

Critics Demand Imus Be Fired Over Remarks
He Discusses Racist Statements on Air With Al Sharpton
AP
NEW YORK (April 9) - Don Imus had a hot seat on the other side of the microphone Monday, appearing on the Rev. Al Sharpton's radio show and enduring more criticism for his offensive comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team.

Imus issued another apology for referring to members of the team as "nappy-headed hos." Sharpton called the comments "abominable" and "racist" and repeated his demand that Imus be fired.

Earlier Monday, on his own radio show, Imus called himself "a good person" who made a bad mistake.

"Here's what I've learned: that you can't make fun of everybody, because some people don't deserve it," he said on his show, which is nationally syndicated to millions of listeners. "And because the climate on this program has been what it's been for 30 years doesn't mean that it has to be that way for the next five years or whatever because that has to change, and I understand that."

He pointed to his involvement with the Imus Ranch, a working cattle ranch for children with cancer and blood disorders in New Mexico. Ten percent of the children who come to the ranch are black, he said.

"I'm not a white man who doesn't know any African-Americans," he said.

On the radio show, Sharpton said that Imus' good deeds do not make up for what he said about the Rutgers team, which includes eight black women.

"This is not about whether you're a good man," Sharpton said. "What you said was racist."

Imus said he hoped to meet the Rutgers players and their parents and coaches, and that he was grateful for the appearance on Sharpton's nationally syndicated show.

Barack Obama wants to pull troops out by 3-31-08. I am in favor of doing so as long as the U.S. tightens security so we don't experience war on our soil. What have we gained from this war?
