The fact that Al Sharpton is offended by the word "nappy" but not "ho", speaks volumes.

If Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton called an all white girls group trailer trash and whores.. Somehow they would have been fined and be facing charges b/c of breaking some law that we havent heard of yet but that can be presented in special circumstances.
The whole problem with what don Imus said is that he was an influential person with millions of listeners....IMPORTANT LISTENERS...presidential candidates..rich white execs that face hiring or firing black females everyday..people who can actually make a difference...
If his comments were accepted by a vast majority than that would say alot about the country that we have become..
now degraders in the black community like rappers and comedians ..dont have the quality of followers that don Imus had..they dont even compare..
besides its the media and big business that give jesse jackson and al sharpton the outlet to their voice opinions ...how come no one is coming down on them? ..its because they are easy targets..just like the..the 7% of the population that is black female..this wasn't the glorious freedom of speech that everyone is saying that we have lost..this was an all out bullying and Imus thought he could get away with it in public..we know these guys make fun of us behind closed doors already..

No one is offended except when a "White Person" sais something negative. When rap groups say Ho and the N
word like it is going out of style that is ok. Chris rock, etc.
can say N, N, N, N, HO, N, N, Ho all day long and no one blinks an eye but say the word nappy(if you are White) and all hell breaks lose. What a bunch of loser hypocrits who always want it both ways. We can say the N word cause we are black but if you are white and say it you are racist. Blacks are equally if not more racist that whites but they can get away with it because they Always get a free pass. Also what kind of losers would let clowns like al sharpton and jessie jackson claim to represent them?

The whole thing is blown way out of propotion.
I agree the comments were offensive, bad, ill conceived, and plain NOT funny. I am practicing my rights by not listening to anything this guy say or do.
BUT, there were a lot worse thing said about all kinds of people and worse, there are a lot worse things DONE to all kinds of people. This one does not stand out.
Perhaps it is time for the population to realize, the comment really reflected badly on the person, but not a reflective of players he tried to make fun, especially when it comes from shock-jocks. Personally, I think Jesse Jackson is looking for something to be offended and he jumps on every opportunity.
Radio jocks wants attention. If we really want him out of job, we should just stop listening to him.
No, I am not offended. If I got offended every time somebody shows their worse side, I'll be dead alrady.

What Don Imus said had nothing to do with race, and Don Imus would obviously not be where he is today if he was not good at what he does.
The problem with America today isn't people like Don Imus, it's with the people who refuse to accept and apology and forgive someone. ( People like Jesse Jacskon and Al Sharpton.)

They have very sensitive ears. They like to be hoping from station to station telling the same blah, blah. They also like the sound of their voices saying the same thingh over and over.
