It is 'safe' politically to disparage Christians since the climate of the western world is such that other people are not allowed to be criticized (see the racket about the nappy-haired comments).

Most races and politically-charged things are not meant to be slammed (might hurt someone's collective feelings - poor 'ittle didums), but the followers of Jesus Christ, (who have and do try to do the right moral thing according to the tenets and beliefs of the Bible,) are unprotected by political correctness barometers.

You ask WHY?? Because someone is paying CNN to do so. Probably someone who hates Christians. And no one will be able to take them to the cleaners in a legal suit. there are no lawyers hardly who would touch such a suit with a barge pole. Sadly.

But the is the ACLU, who once in a while will take the side of a Christian, mostly for publicity's sake, not because they are on the Christian bandwagon. They will just as likely stand up for a Muslim.
