Honestly, I think what he said was wrong. HOWEVER, I constantly hear black comedians making jokes about white people whether it be about how they raise their kids, how they talk, how they spend money etc. SO why is it that when a white comedian does the same in reference to black people there is such a fuss? Whites are supposed to laugh when they are made fun of. There is an unwritten double standard here. Secondly, black people call themselves these terms in the media ALL of the time. I am not saying that what Imus said was appropriate but I am saying that there shouldn't be so much controversy over it.

I feel two ways , as an African American I know those words were over the top so I feel bad.

But I listened to Imus and I know what hes done in the past and how he helps kids and I know that he just mouths off radically sometimes as a part of his show to just be not so much controversial but just as a way of being funny.

Theres been times where hes talked about people in extreme measures but you knew he was playing. But this time it was just over the top cause of the numerous sharp stinging attacks all at once.

At the end of the day I would vote for just pretending like it never happened. Simply apologize and move on. Cause now I feel he can't be the same person he was on his show because he knows people are "watching" for his next foul up.

And on the flip side of it to not do ANYTHING would be a very bad sign for african american leadership. If there is such a thing any more :( poor us.

It is un-American! Anyone who supports the suspension is anti-America, Imus has freedom of speech. Are we going to suspend Mencia for all the racial joke she makes? WHy was Chris Rock never in trouble for his racial comments? How about Chappelle? Why is there a double standard? I didnt think the joke was funny but Imus has the right to say it. Why don't we put people in jail next for what they say? Sorry, but that is where we are headed. It was a joke, it was not a malicous attack against these girls. People need to learn we have the first ammendment, if they do not like what Imus says simple then, CHANGE THE STATION AND DON'T LISTEN! Everyday we lose more and more of our freedoms.

Ok. He said he was sorry; but no one believes him. The Jury of the country starting with Sharpton (like who cares what he says) wanted him suspended, they won. What is the difference with what Rosie said about Bush. She should be taken out her seat, also. By the way I don't watch those shows anymore. Since, you asked.

So what. There are more important things to think about people! What about the soldiers death toll? or the dumb a-s-s
that put them there? This whole Imus thing is getting old! Do yourself a favor and forget the moron! He isn't worth the spark
required to think about the dummy!!!!!

It is a sad state of affairs that Al Sharpton has an audience. I guess nobody remembers Tawana Brawley.

He's kinda of a comedian so his language may be offensive to some people. But since hurting peoples feelings is illegal in this country, I guess they should behead him.

This country is getting more and more like a police state. The only difference is we don't even need the government to enslave us

I'd tell the networks to shove it up their wazoo, and go to Sirius radio where the PC police don't hold so much power.

The only way to hurt a racist is in the pocket book!
(the only legal way, that is)
