Here's the deal, I'm 22 and I have a theory that all the money raised for elections can be used for a better purpose. I'm wondering if I started now, by the time I was 35 would I have enough grass root support to be elected. Here's a simple platform:

No war alliances if at all possible, I believe peace begets peace, and every little thing I do reflects on my country.

I may not have all the answers, but the people the people I choose to use for my experts will, or they will be fired.

I'm going on record now saying congress gets too much money, without the work, and I am going to try to change that as much as possible.

I want us as a nation to be as accepted worldwide as possible.

Although Global Warming is controversial now, I would like us to try to still work towards renewable energy sources, reason being is then there is not as desperate a need for it, thusly, less chance of fighting.

I have more views that I would be glad to share. I am just curious to see how far this goes.

I support a continued US presence in Iraq to prevent genocide in that country and prevent Iran from gaining a foothold there. Before any of you criticize my stand be advised that I plan to enlist in the Army after graduation because I believe that if we leave Iraq than it will result in horrible consequences. What is their plan? Beg the UN to do something. Give billions of dollars to Iran in exchange for a promise that they will not destabilize Iraq. I think the only plan they have will be to blame Bush instead of taking responsibility for signing the paper withdrawing our presence from Iraq.

My brother was killed on March 9th, 2007. He was a pedestrian walking when a truck drove from behind and killed him. The truck kept driving never stopping. They didn't even called 911. My brother died instantly. This was done in Hawaii where my brother was living at the time. The debre that was left behind at the scene tells the police that it was a Chevy truck of some sort between the years 99-02 and the color is blue. Hawaii police really aren't up to date with modern technology like California where I live. I have done everything that I possibly can think of to help find the killer. I've called radio stations, tv news channels, newspapers, wrote ads on the Hawaii craigslist, emailed; Dr.Phil, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Unsolved Mysteries, Court TV, Silvia Brown, and a pyschic detective ooh the FBI in Hawaii. Out of those I only got a response from the FBI who told me that the local police needs to contact them for help not me if they have forensic evidence and needs help. Help me!!

I really don't understand what he means by this and how or why people buy it when he says it. There are a few reasons why that statement is completely idiotic:

A. Just because we are in Iraq wouldn't prevent some terrorists from coming to the U.S. to attack us.

B. The terrorists we are fighting in Iraq are not the ones who attacked us on 9/11; and the ones who attacked us on 9/11 are spread out in multiple countries. So us being in Iraq is not going to prevent these terrorists that are in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. from coming to the U.S. to attack us.

C. If we want to prevent terrorists from entering the U.S., we should enhance border security and deport illegal aliens (not grant immunity to them).

D. We should inspect 100% of cargo coming into the U.S., not just 5%.

will they be justified in forcing the Chinese way of life onto weaker nations, if not, then why are we justified in doing so. Let's not worry about which way of life is better, just would we be comfortable in having their way of life being shoved down our throats?

Everday I see them bashing president Bush for the war in Iraq. Yes, he used faulty intelligence for the war but he removed a dictator from power. I feel many americans are either so ignorant about what people who are ruled by dictators go through or are selfish. I personally support any president who tries to give people a decent life, even if he makes mistakes, at least, he tried. To ere is just human

every day i hear that us troop(s) died. Well, just about every day. ... there are different troops that have died almost each day. AND we are building the largest u.s. embacy in the world in iraq. Pull out of iraq? We're not leaving soon from the sounds of that. So the death rate gradually increased from the start, until it came to where every day on your msn home page you could see, well i don't know...5, 10, 14, troops reported dead. maybe i exzagerated it, but still.

"A car bomb exploded Saturday in the Shiite holy city of Karbala as the streets were packed with people heading for evening prayers, killing at least 58 and wounding scores"

What makes 9 American lives more important than 58 Iraqi lives?

And people use this to say we need to get out. This proves we need to stay.

sorry, but i would say leave......
1.) iraq did absolutely NOTHING to the usa to start a war (unlike japan - pearl harbor), iraq was never a threat
2.) the surge is NOT working, don't listen to mccain saying "there's progress", he admitted he lied when he said that petraus could ride in a "unarmed humv", trying to confuse the american people like bush's WMD claim
3.) bush LIED about wmd's, he LIED in his "mission accomplished" speech
4.) bush wants us to wait until september to see if the surge is working, just to say "OOPS, we have messed up"
5.) all previous surges have failed
6.) the civil war is now starting to develop into a genocide
7.) the iraqi goverment has to be ACCOUNTABLE for their own goverment
8.) another vietnam? talk of a draft?
