I really don't understand what he means by this and how or why people buy it when he says it. There are a few reasons why that statement is completely idiotic:

A. Just because we are in Iraq wouldn't prevent some terrorists from coming to the U.S. to attack us.

B. The terrorists we are fighting in Iraq are not the ones who attacked us on 9/11; and the ones who attacked us on 9/11 are spread out in multiple countries. So us being in Iraq is not going to prevent these terrorists that are in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. from coming to the U.S. to attack us.

C. If we want to prevent terrorists from entering the U.S., we should enhance border security and deport illegal aliens (not grant immunity to them).

D. We should inspect 100% of cargo coming into the U.S., not just 5%.

E. We should spend billions of dollars on FBI operations, CIA operations, police department operations, etc. to find and capture terrorists in and around the U.S., we shoudn't be fighting a war in a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.

F. We should take troops out of Iraq, and redeploy into Afghanistan and northern Pakistan to fight the actual terrorists who attacked us.

Well, there are people who believe that the war in Iraq gives terrorists adn Jihadists a place to go that is not the US, and tha tif there was no war for them to fight there then they would need to go somewhere else to kill Americans and would likely be trying very hard to get into the US so they can do as much damage here as possible.

You have to understand that these people are fighting a war, and they are likely to continue fighting a war...with the US... long after we leave Iraq.

I do not necessarily believe all of this, but this is the rationale behind that statement. It is actually a well reasoned judgement. Whether it happens or not is to be seen, but I would say that it is not an irresposible theory.

Forget how we got there the point is we are there now. The Middle East has a different mind set than we do. If we move our troops out of Iraq they will consider it a sign of defeat and weakness. This will enable them to rally more terrorists and give them the confidence to pull off more attacks. Radical Islamics are allot like a pack of wild dogs. We don't want them to see one ounce of weakness else they will go for our throats.

What we are doing in Iraq is playing a violent form of footsie with Iran. Iran is a powerful terrorist force and we'd rather squeeze them on either side (Afghanistan & Iraq) like a zit as opposed to facing them on a battlefield.

Hate to tell you yet they are right here already.....approximately 1400 cells national. yet a defeat in Iraq "will" destabilize the middle east much extra then it incredibly is sweet now. It became inevitable that we ought to grow to be in contact. The jihadists basically helped it alongside basically somewhat on 9-11. Saddam pushed his weight around as quickly as too frequently and have been given slapped around. Then he desperate to tell the U.N. to kiss off whilst having violated the give up hearth contract with the U.N. in Kuwait and signed an unconditional renounce which he promply violated on different events. Then the U.S. and its allies had adequate of the BS and went returned in and positioned an end to a tyrants reign. Then the extensive kind of nutcases have come out of the woodwork and characteristic killed super numbers of harmless persons interior the call of God. The ultimate way for evil to be triumphant is for good men to do no longer something. And the checklist in this final classification is growing to be by using leaps and barriers as many significant human beings opt to tuck tail and run. The ultimate thank you to die is to run faraway from a mad dogs. he will song you down and kill you whilst achievable. And the jihadists are a minimum of a rung under the dogs. a minimum of the dogs has an excuse. The Jihadists have mentioned it incredibly is honestly their objective. For one, i believe them. combat them there or combat them right here. Our selection. And keep in mind. The enemy has a vote.

It's really just common war rhetoric. People said samething about communists. That's what they said during Vietnam: "We fight communists over there so we won't fight them in our back yard."

It's depressingly simple, old war rhetoric. But people still buy it.

Even more, some of these terrorists will be home grown. Next attacks may be your next door neighbor's kids who log onto al Quida website and following their will. Considering bus bombing in London was also home grown(in Britain).

We have been hearing this same tune for seven years the war in Iraq was not about terrorism but to feed the egos of George, Dick and Donald.

Because a fool & his money are soon parted..... that's why.

i.e. The "fool" is you & every other idiot that supports this war, in the US & abroad. And you've been saying goodbye to your money since this conflict began, like the fools Bush knew you were.
