every day i hear that us troop(s) died. Well, just about every day. ... there are different troops that have died almost each day. AND we are building the largest u.s. embacy in the world in iraq. Pull out of iraq? We're not leaving soon from the sounds of that. So the death rate gradually increased from the start, until it came to where every day on your msn home page you could see, well i don't know...5, 10, 14, troops reported dead. maybe i exzagerated it, but still.

Yes it's tough being an invading occupying force in a foreign country (especially overseas). Usually over time, hostile forces get better with their organization and tactics - a study of the Vietnam War is evidence of that. The US dropped more bombs there than ever before in history yet the opposition just kept coming. When the fighting goes to ground warfare then the locals have a certain homecourt advantage. In this war with Iraq the US is without the great commitment and number of allies of some past wars.

This war makes me so sad, I feel like it was all in vain, I know people disagree but I cannot find an explanation that justifies what's happened there.
