Bravo,
Unfortunately those here don't want to go see how the rest of the world live, i have two brothers here in Arizona that have never even been to Mexico and probably never will. People know we have it good here in the USA but they just don't know how good. I have been all over this world except to Africa and Europe I have seen firsthand how the world lives.
Also, i don't agree with all the Pres. has done but he is trying to keep our way of life safe, and that includes the ability to publicly bash anyone you choose( long live freedom).
And for those of you who object to the war in Iraq. Disregarding the past. WE ARE THERE NOW. what do you think will happen if we leave? Do you understand the culture of the Mighty make the rules(seen in dictatorships) that the middle east has lived with for centuries? do you understand for the terrorists it will be seen as avictory for them just as Vietnam was seen as a loss. Ever hear of Pol Pot? sure lets leave and give them a new breading ground to attack us. i hope it is your family that receives their hatred maybe then you will understand.

Yes the dictator Saddam was removed and the Iraqis cheered, but now they too have turned against Americans, the ones that liberated them.
The Iraqis were about to receive freedom in their Country for the first time in their lives. They held the first election
in over 50 years & on their way to demorcay until the Isamic Militas moved about killing anyone, including women & children. Some are used as hostages in trying to get to the Soldiers, Coalation Forces as well as Americans. I think the troops should be home, there is nothing else that we can do there. This is a civil war and
I imagine that when all troops are removed there will be a blood-bathe.
But the Iraqis have made the choice. I do not understand how the Iraqis feel they are going to be able to fight these terrorist? But, why waste another Soldiers life, when it is all in vain. If the Iraq war were handle to the point of not enterning in this Country when Bush ordered, I believe we would have Osma Bin Laden. The focus was shifted almost enterily away from Afganistain to Iraq?????
Our focus should have been Bin Laden, the one responsible for 911.
And we Americans do not appreciate being called ignorant. If we are so ignorant, since apparently you beleive that you are the smart one, perhaps you can do a better job.
why don't you face the terrosits!

Ironically, you are the proof.
I come from an eastern European country.
We were ruled by a dictator. That was bad. Still:
whenever I got sick, my mom took me to a doctor, and we didn't pay anything.
We used to go with Granny every weekend to the movies. On holidays we used to watch two movies in a row, eating our full between the movies.
Every holiday we visited the amusement parks and I had such fun!
Every summer we used to go to a vacation.
I could buy any book, cosmetics, or shirt.
Now, we are free, thank you. But I'm afraid you've forgotten to finish your job
Now, I have to decide what to buy this month- a book, a shirt or a cream.
We spend our vacations at home, working extra.Or don't take vacations at all.
I go to the movies once or twice a year.
Many people starve. While I was looking for job, I used to eat only two pieces of bread a day.
Yes, and while you were chasing away one European dictator, it seems you've used come radioactive materials. Thanks to your liberating activities, my mom is sick. And now, the medicines are very expensive, not like before. How would you feel if your mother was dying because of somebody's irresponsible activities.

What a sensible comment you have made.
The thing that bothers me most is that in my 66 years, I have never before seen a time when Americans have lost their patriotism, their pride in their country, and the determination to stand together as a country during the rough times. It is shameful and it is bringing our country down! Yes, it's ignorant and most of the media is helping make it happen.

I would oppose that. "Some" Americans are ignorant and "some" do support President Bush.
Saying "Americans are ignorant" is a generalization.
The people to blame for President George W. Bush's downfall is the mudslinging from the media. Many in the media, who oppose President Bush, convince television audiences in America, that he is the enemy. It is creating a diversion of who the main culprit is in control of America's finances.
It's the Secretary of the State US Deputy Randall L Tobias (Democrat) who has resigned after confirming to ABC television network that he had been a customer of a Washington, DC, escort service whose owner (not American) has been charged by federal prosecutors with running a prostitution racket. And that's where our freaking money goes!!!
So who is in control of our finances now, huh?! It's the American government. Not President George Bush.
How's that for a not so ignorant American? Bite your tongue, deary.

yes Bush has made mistakes(some bad)
yes he removed a brutal dictator who killed maybe hundreds of thousands of his own countrymen(and fellow Arabs).also tested his (horrific) mustard gas on the Curds.
yes he (knowing or unknowingly) went to war on bad intelligence
yes he supports free rides for illegals (wrong topic)
I have some strong opposition to Bush (I voted for him the first time and missed the second)
I have strong opposition to the liberals (including dems) that want the war to be another "cut and run" war.
Support our troops.
Bush Jr I hoped would do more for America.

The US has a long history of deposing "dictators" of other countries in the name of "freedom" when it suits US interests. While Saddam Hussein was not in the running for Miss Congeniality, he kept the lid on the powder keg so to speak. Do you think that Sunnis, Kurds and Shiites just started hating each other yesterday? Thank the Brits as well, they artificially created countries (Iraq being one of them) in the wake of their collapsed empire.
If another country considered Bush a "dictator" (I'm guessing several do), does that give them the right to invade the US and remove him from power if they think they are freeing the American people?
If Bush wants to give peole a decent life, he could start here at home by making the rich pay their fair share of taxes and providing health insurance to all US citizens.
You need to lay off the Republican Kool-Aid!

Bravo, well said, and a very valid argument. I have been bashed for voting for that man for years. You are one that sees the treasure for what it is, and does not waste about searching in vaine. While it lay before you, you are able to tame it to your liking while others presume you ignorant for appreciating such things. I hope you become a great leader; I will follow if you are Just.

America should stop meddling in foreign affairs that are largely irrelevant. There's no need to save the world all by itself. The country's resources are already stretched too thin and there are numerous problems on the home front that need to be dealt with.
