After years of torture and silence, he 'confesses to a tribunal'
Among the other terror plots he confessed to during the waterboarding was the shooting of Abraham Lincoln, the downing of the Hindenburg, both space shuttles, the Great Chicago Fire, and the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906.

Well he might as well have done, still time to empty that concentration camp in Cuba now I guess, case closed, we got the bad guy, all over, bring the troops home etc etc (Iraq of course not connected with 911)

I have some homework to find out what's in the news about slavery at the moment. I know that basically it's the 200th anniversary of the abolition soon and also the one about Mr. Blair saying 'sorry'. Can someone send me some links to websites that have the whole articles on that would be suitable for printing (and preferably with pictures)...
Thanks!

I have no doubt he's a really bad guy that has done a lot of those things, but he is claiming everything from 911 to Pearl's murder to that shoe bomber guy to an assassination attempt on Carter and like 30 other things. Seems like he just spent a long time at Gitmo and will admit to anything.

What do you think? Who thinks he is guilty of some of it, and how much? Do you think it matters in the war on terror?

so apparently the 'confession' of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was given 'without duress' (Abc News), however the CIA abmits he was subject to water boarding a torture in which the victim is hung upside down with water flowing over their head, to induce the feeling of drowning, now im not saying he's innocent but i'm also certainly not implying that a 'confession' obtained under such circumstances can be considered to be 'without duress'. take the situation in Zimbabwae where opposition leaders have been beaten, this is torture, however i would suggest that being subjected to a drowning sensation for several minutes is also torture and of a worse kind then being beaten. i would rather be beaten then made to feeling like i was drowning. Shame on the US in the quest for 'freedom and democracy' the US govt has lost all sense of right and wrong and lowered themselves to the level of tyranical rygemes such as the taliban, Rober Mugabe, and so on. Has the US govt no morals.

What about Pearl Harbor? The Great Depression? And did he admit to creating AIDS yet? I also have a suspicion that he may be Santa Clause as well!

That it cost the Goverment, 3cents to make a Penny. So why doesn't, the Gov., pay-us,{the common folk}, to recycle all the Pennies, we have, "stashed", in our homes. They could pay us, say: 10cents for every 7 Pennies we, Recycle/turn-in, to the Banks in U.S.A. We could avoid, Fraud, by settin limits? I'm no, Economics Major, but what do u think???oh ya, how many Pennies do u think u have in ur house? Me, at least, a 1000, & proll'y, more like, 2500 !!!!

Because if he HAD done such things, and was willing to admit it, he'd have done so months ago when he was captured.
Typical american tactics; don't bother to worry about getting the REAL guys, just find some shlep and beat him till he "confesses" to whatever you want him to.

I heard that he confessed to cutting Daniel Pearls head off.
I still think Pete should be in the Hall of Fame, after all Ty Cobb kidnapped Lumberg's baby and he was allowed in, and look at OJ, he recently wrote a book about how he shot JR and he's still in.

Robert Mugabe, a brutal megalomaniac dictator is systematically destroying his country and torturing his political opponents. Blair, yapping at the heels of Bush, went after and destroyed the Iraq ruled by Saddam Hussein - why not Robert Mugabe?
