Personally, if you have lived through and/or have been affected by the tragedy of September 11th, it will be something that you remember for the rest of your life. Regardless of whatever tactics the government or anyone else may use to attempt to eradicate the memories from the minds of Americans, it will not ever be forgotten. It was a day that everyone should remember, not only the goods; like patronizing the U.S. and making us more aware of our deepest vulnerabilities, but also the bads; the sheer fact that since, we, as citizens, have slowly given up more and more to the government to ensure our pro9tection. The real question here isn’t if it will be a legend, but how much will it force us to give up in order to feel safe and secure, because if we allow the government to take away our freedoms at the pace it is now, we will be a communist country quicker than anyone expects....

A legend? No, more sort of like one of those landmarks by which people keep track of their life. For example, whenever I wonder when I was taking a certain class, I use 9/11 as a reference point.

Pearl Harbor, the JFK assassination and the Titanic are similar events.

Not a legend. It is history. The battle of Gettysburg is not a legend, it is a reality. Like wise 9/11 is a reality that has become a part of all those that lived through the ordeal.

No, a legend is a mythical story that may or may not have some basis in fact. What, do you think David Copperfield made those buildings disappear? What kind of anti-American are you to p iss on the memory of all of those that died that day? Go back to Iraq Achmed.

I wouldn't call it a legend. It was a tragic day in American history. The heroes of 9/11 are the legends.

I would call it a sad day in our history. Like FDR once said, a "day that will live in infamy."

I hope this country can learn from that awful day because many are out do to this nation a lot of harm.
