If one were to distill all the current sheer awfulness to one bold statement, could it be said that the world is being held hostage by the BUSH/CHENEY machine until January 20th 2009?

Too harsh...or not harsh enough?

The horror happened once. It is happening again. Genocide is sweeping Darfur.

LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED when people sat around during the Holocaust.

We said "never again..."
okay fine DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't leave it to the next person... they will just leave it for someone else and that person will do the same and so on.

Could it be a strong possibility that the Halliburton move to Dubai is a stategic move decided on after the fall 2006 elections to help sheild the company and it's hiarchy from possible future legal investigations and prosecution, to make such efforts more difficult from afar, to avoid having assets seized or frozen? The timing is sure fishy...

"I decapitated with my blessed right hand the head of the American Jew, Daniel Pearl, in the city of Karachi, Pakistan," he said. "For those who would like to confirm, there are pictures of me on the Internet holding his head."

I haven't actually heard any ideas that would allow us to succeed in Iraq, have they officially given up?

MSNBC gives Tucker Carlson his own platform. CNN gives Glenn Beck his own platform.
FOX gives who what? Alan Colmes sure as hell never gets the last word with Hannity running that show.

Liberal media bias? Ha! Keep crying about it. It really seems to be working. You know why FOX News get's to brag of it's status as the nations "most watched network?" It's because liberals and moderates divide their attention between the four major networks that actually "report news." Meanwhile ALL conservatives rely on FOX. It's a great source of talking points so you won't *think* you lose every single argument you have with liberals. In fact, you'll think you've won the argument. Your liberal counterpart will realize you're a moron who relies on FOX for their information. They know the whole country loses when we have such a misinformed public.

In other words, as long as there are 5 major news networks. FOX will win rating wars as long as at least 21% of Americans remain neocons.

Ok so I had my cable shut off last year and sold my TV. I don't read newspapers because i am busy working all of the time. And I was out of the country for 6 weeks in January and February. I am beginning to feel a little out of touch with current events. Please tell me what you think is the most interesting piece of news from recent weeks. By the way, you can leave off the Anna Nicole Smith story I heard about that when I was overseas. Thank you.

I'm NOT a fan of the View but, I find it interesting to see just what Rosie O'Donnell and that other leftist fanatical liberal ,Joyce Behar, are spewing out about our government.
Today, Rosie did not have her facts straight as usual, pointing out the picture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who has admitted responsibility of planning 9/11 and other attacks on America.

She points to the picture and states "Look at him, doesn't he look healthy?" as if his condition is the result of what she claims is his being "tortured" at Guantanamo Bay.

The picture she is pointing out is the one taken of him just after his capture, at 3 a.m. in the morning in March 2003 and not a recent one of his incarceration at Guantanamo.
Rosie's "Views" are rather skewed I'd say and unfortunately too many of those gullible audience members and those at home are buying into it.

Does Rosie need to be taken off the air for broadcasting false information about the U.S. Government?

The ones WE pay to help others. And sit around tables looking for ways to take peoples help away. Picking and choosing who they "feel" like helping, and screwing people they don't like. Leaving them on the street. And creating a constant drain on Society and Your Tax dollars!

i pretty much think that the two wars have two main differences. a. vietnam veterans came home to a country that hated the war and hated any soldier involved with it. they were called baby killers when some and or most of them were drafted into the war. while in present time, many americans, if not most of them by now are anti war, they still support the troops. even if they hate bush, and his selfish, ignorant personality, and the war he created and started, thy still support the men and women who fight there.
b. both vietnam and iraq were coated with cotton candy, and sweet chocolate lies. there were never any type of weapon in iraq that could be used for mass destruction, and what about bin laddin? did you know that a few generations ago the bush family was friends with bin laddin's? vietnam was the same way. i just need some facts or what not to make my peanuts into peanut butter.
