I have no doubt he's a really bad guy that has done a lot of those things, but he is claiming everything from 911 to Pearl's murder to that shoe bomber guy to an assassination attempt on Carter and like 30 other things. Seems like he just spent a long time at Gitmo and will admit to anything.

What do you think? Who thinks he is guilty of some of it, and how much? Do you think it matters in the war on terror?

It's pretty certain that he was involved in a lot of bad things, but the torture that has been going on in US military prisons undercuts the validity of his confession.

I have a hard time believing that he would use the term "from A to Z" as he is alleged with regard to the 9/11 plot.

A couple different things may have happened - 1) he was tortured and confessed to the things he did, 2) he was tortured and confessed to things he did and DIDN'T do to spare the guilty parties and inflate his involvement.

Anyway you look at it, the US's case has been severely compromised by the use of waterboarding and other torture techniques.

Bullcrap
It’s either a government cover up or a John Mark Carr type of person gone looney...

Have you seen Wag the Dog? That's what it smells like to me...

As I was saying in an earlier post.

Whoever believes this confession is true might as well believe in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and that Pigs can Fly.

It does nothing for the war on terror except pose more questions. I think at this point the Bush administration is desperate.

This is a test to see if the American public is as gullible as it was on Sept 11th 2001. Of course since Khalid Sheikh Mohammed doesn't have a lawyer and his "trial" is in a secret prison in Cuba in front of three military officers and he can't see the evidence against him...so it's like the end to that old Tootsie-Pop commercial..."the world may never know". I'm sure though that any further questions about 9/11 (or any other "terrorist" action) will be referred by the Bush administration to "Khalid Sheikh Mohammed".

At least some of his confessions are BULL.
He figured he would be executed so he wanted to collect on as many bragging rights as he could manufacture.
Now, when he is proved to be a LIAR, he will end up being an embarrassment to Islam.

I agree, torture doesn't really get reliable confessions, so why does this 'confession' get so much attention? it means nothing the US govt should learn the meaning of morality before preaching to the rest of the world.
