Go back 5 years to when the US was only considering going to war with Iraq...

We looked at all the data we had (flawed though it was) and decided we needed to attack Iraq and remove the government in power in Bagdad.

So we went to war on the premise that it might have WMDs and was refusing to allow UN inpections to take place. But we later learned that Iraq had no WMDs.

Now we have a country (Iran) which may REALLY trying to build nuclear weapons. They admit to working on all the basic technology to build nukes. So why have we not attacked Iran?

Of course, the answer is that we are too busy in Iraq.

But if this were five years ago would we have attacked Iran if Iraq had not been an issue?

Oh yeah, and Iran has lots of oil too!

It could have been in the 1950s or 60s. They were all from the Phillipines & tied up & killed in one house. I'm watching CSI & 6 showgirls who lived together were all tied up & stabbled & it reminded me of the earlier crime. I don't remember who the killer was...but it was a famous crime. I seem to remember it was in the MidWest..but I could be wrong. Thanks

I'm at a loss as to why anyone would buy a newspaper that treats its readers as idiots (i.e. the Diana stories on Mondays, the overexageration of weather stories, the obvious twisted headlines that most people can see through). The only reason I can come up with is that it matches their political beliefs, in which case there's a similar product in the Daily Mail. So why buy the Express?

(disclaimer: I have may have peeked in years ago to read Calvin and Hobbes on my paper round. But that is my only connection with the rag.)

Surely a "tolerant, accepting" lefty would be accepting of his white heritage and not deny the existence of his white granny, correct?

We need to write a one page paper on a news article on Saddam Hussein. All the news sites make you pay for the articles though. Where can I get the articles for free?

Is it time for the war in Iraq stop? Its been going on for too long now! It seems endless and no progress seems to be made. I’ve forgotten the point of going to war in the first place! The war was justified because Saddam Hussein had done so many bad things. But he has been dealt with now. What more is there that we can do? Surely its up to the Iraq to sort its own country out? We cant do it for them no matter how many troops we send in! We’re just making more enemies aren’t we? The Iraqi’s do not want us there and we don’t want our friends and families there. So errr.. Why are we STILL there?!

Time to invade, start air strikes or what? I'm in favour of readjusting the attitude of this most despicable of nations if we don't get our people back asap.

It seems as if news programs are shifting away from actual news stories to what sells...like celebrity gossip for instance. What's worse, propaganda for both the right and left is being marketed as news. How do you wade through the massive amounts of information and take anything of value away?

A couple of days ago, NBC reported a story about an anti LDS, (Mormon) group that has launched a U.S. nationwide effort to question the LDS beliefs via a free dvd. Got mine in the mail today. There is an address on the dvd liner in Tooele, Utah USA. Just curious, who is this group?

I just read this quote from one of the recently captured UK soldiers, addressing the UK Parliment:

"Isn't it time to start withdrawing our forces from Iraq and let them determine their own future?"

Now, I am an American, so I could be off. But to me this does not sound like something a coalition soldier would say, not in the least. What are your thoughts? Genuine, or really from the mouths of the Iranian government?

Be careful, Rosie! High-profile Americans, who speak up about their government, tend to get "suicidal" sometimes.

As an American, I support FREE SPEECH for everyone, but I don't represent the majority. (I still disagree with your stance on firearm ownership, though.)

Keep speaking out, it's PATRIOTISM at its finest. This country was BORN from dissent.

Besides, I know it makes Rush[ey] Mae Limball's blood boil.
