We need to write a one page paper on a news article on Saddam Hussein. All the news sites make you pay for the articles though. Where can I get the articles for free?

I would recommend The Guardian www.guardian.co.uk or the BBC www.bbc.co.uk/news The both have good archives that are free to access so if you did a search for Saddam Hussein on either of these sites you would have a choice of articles and could pick the most interesting one.

I am not sure what country you are in. These are British sites although they get a lot of international traffic. However, if you are in the United States, it might add an interesting element to your paper to pick a foreign news site. You could see if the perspective is different to a US news site, given that it's from another country but Britain is also an ally and in the war on Iraq.

Alternatively, you could go to the library and get the librarian to help you find hard-copy press clippings. Radical, I know! That way you could get the New York Times or whatever newspaper you want, without having to pay.

BTW, Google News and Yahoo! News are aggregators of other news sites, so you might be able to find press cuts on this, as suggested. However, forget www.news.com - it's a technology news website, not a foreign news website.

I would also forget Wikipedia - it's a useful resource but an encyclopaedia entry is not the same thing as a news article.
