So they could use it as a pretext for military intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan. Google...911 inside job...have yourself a look at all the choices there are.

Personally, not a single thing irritates me more than 9/11 conspiracy theorists. These people really do just simply have too much time on their hands.

They think that they are on to something, some new idea that has been overlooked. The thing is, it is nothing new at all. After the Pearl Harbor attack in World War II, a whole slew of people came out saying that the U.S. government had direct involvement. Under the Roosevelt administration. C'mon people. THE ROOSEVELT ADMINISTRATION!! And that was America at it's peak.

These conspiracy theorists really need to actually read a book or educate themselves instead of wearing out their Fahrenheit 9/11 DVDs. They might as well be Holocaust deniers as well.

In all honesty, how dare you people. Would you have the nerve to say what you preach to the families of those who lost loved ones in the attacks?? I highly doubt it.

Also, if it were an inside job used as a pretext for war against Iraq, why would we have bothered to wait 2 years before invading, and why bother sending our forces to Afghanistan?

I have conducted research on this issue just as I am sure many others have that responded to this question. You make a bold claim that Bush orchestrated the terror attacks of 911, yet you provide absolutely no basis for this assertion other than informing users to go on Google and type in “911 inside job”.

Evidently the concept of “quality over quantity” escapes you. Just because there are numerous websites that appear when you type in “911 inside job” does not automatically constitute that the allegation is correct. It is prudent not just to use a search engine to find many sites, but to also more importantly examine the content i.e., the quality of information within those websites in order to ascertain the effectiveness of their arguments.

In all likelihood, if one does the research, it can be deduced that the reports put out by the 9/11 commission and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) are relatively accurate in illustrating what transpired on September 9/11. The most prominent video for conspiracy theorists is arguably Loosechange. It is written and directed by Dylan Avery, produced by Korey Rowe with researcher Jason Bermas. None of these individuals have much authority to make their assertions as they do not have backgrounds in structural mechanics or other such respective areas which would allow them to offer an ‘expert opinion’. They are nothing more that college students utilizing sensationalist arguments to help facilitate in acquiring more attention to themselves rather then the supposed ‘movement’ for which they stand for.

The video itself has been edited several times because of a large amount of flaws which it still contains. I have posted a link following this information which deconstructs the argument of the Loosechange video. There are other conspiracy theory websites the utilize the tactics of the “9/11 Truth Movement”. Examples of these are sites like http://physics911.net/ but if one looks them closely, they will observe flaws. For example, they make the claim that no one can make a cellphone call at 30,000 feet above the ground which is where the plane was reported to be, yet they neglect to mention that the altitude of the plane changed throughout the flight, where at times it would be much lower than 30,000 feet. The only way they would remain at 30,000 feet the whole flight? If the WTC towers were 30,000 feet tall.

In conclusion, it is my hope that rather than individuals making wild claims about “9/11 being an inside job”, they should research the issue themselves in order to acquire a more comprehensive understanding of the event so they can offer more effectively formed arguments for their positions. I believe though if they conduct their research effectively, conspiracy theorists will be swayed by the refuting arguments.

Here is a good site which shows the flaws in the Loosechange video part by part:
http://internetdetectives.biz/case/loose-change

Here is the now infamous article from Popular mechanics where they effectively look at the conspiracy theories segment by segment and refute them, this article would later be expanded into a book which you can order online at Amazon or other such websites:
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html

This site seems to summarize the best links to sites refuting 9/11 Conspiracy theories:

It is a shame to see people still buying into 9/11 conspiracy theories. The research has been done and has stood the tests of repeated investigations. The terrorists planned it and did it. They have even admitted to it. And yet, people buy into this tripe.

I did get one good thing from this question and that is the answer of “Sleepin' With my Clothes on” with the link to Penn and Teller. It is one of the better sites I’ve seen, but then, their Penn and Teller.

No
Now that you have Rosie said so now you know it is full of BS.

It must be true if it is on the internet.

Noting on 9/11 myth machines would stand up in the harsh light of reality. NOTHING.

For that person who mention Penn and Teller's bit.
I saw an interview with Penn he said in all the time they been doing that show BS. All their letters were reasonable and people seeking an honest debate until they air that story and the hate mail flew.

Doesn't that say something about the consiparcy nuts.

Now go contact Rosie for advice.

And this is a slight amendment of a question posted earlier by 'the multi-ided one'. This is becoming spam. All the hard, scientific evidence says the terrorists did it. On your side, you have a few videos on youtube, that ultimate arbiter of truth and justice, produced by people who have no expertise. Which should I believe? Its a no brainer really. And somehow, a no brainer seems appropriate when this conspiracy theory keeps on coming up.

You think the Bush Administration mastermined the whole thing?

Bush and mastermind don't even belong in the same sentence.

It's quite unlikely. For one thing the events immediately after the attacks indicated that no-one in the Administration knew what to do.
