The number of attacks has diminished by far after the execution of Saddam. I´m not saying it will stop forever, but isn´t this a progress worth talking about?

You know how GOD created the world in seven days... and also, he reaveled his secret to a saint and said that the pope who will prepare his coming would be from Poland and Pope Juan Pablo the second has died. And, he says about the sunamis (which happened already) and about the sun dancing(which happened already), and about the wars (which are happening) and so forth...also, he says that all of the young people will have a dream about the last days atleast once in their lives.

I was watching it and their main topic last night was on Darfur. I just was just wondering if anybody knew more about it. I did a bit of research last night afterwards and read alot about "Genocide" and "Internally Displaced Persons". If you know more about this conflict, or you just have a strong opinion, I'd love to hear it. At least so I'm not so out of the loop. I had no idea what they were talkig about, but aparenlty its been going on since 2003.

Israel created 1948, in the land of Palestine, as desire for a Jewish homeland. Trying to prevent a repeat of the Holocaust. Land split 45% Palestinians 55% Israeli, why? What right did the west have to give away Palestinian land. To appease guilt? Surely The Jewish homeland should have been in Europe, land given by those countries responsible for the Holocaust? Do not doubt that Israel has a right to exist but why in Palestine?

Help me understand, Why should the world feel sadness that a killer like Saddam is dead. Did he feel remorse when he had all those men, women and children killed? Should the world critizise the hangings of these murderers.

"Death toll mounts from Midwest ice storm
Waves of freezing rain, sleet and snow since Friday had been blamed for at least 15 deaths in Oklahoma, six in Missouri, five in Iowa, two in Texas and one each in New York and Maine."

Now I'll grant you, that's sad...but do you think that is significant enough to be called a "Death toll" or is this just another way the media enjoys scaring the sht out of everyone?

We are among the least literate people on this planet, and we're getting worse. It's the change--the constant trendline downward--that interests these researchers. More than one study has correlated this increasing stupidity of our population to the amount of television they watch.

There is no doubt that the paparazzi are making life hell for Kate Middleton as the longstanding girl friend of Prince William.
Can they justify it? It is certainly of public interest.
Can the same ends not be met by public statements, and the release of photographs?
How would you compare the press coverage of Rosie West - conspirator in mass murder - and Kate Middleton, girlfriend of a Royal?

Even in death , Saddam seems to of gotten top billing by the media. In all the headlines it is "Saddam's half-brother" & "Salaam's aide". When Saddam was hanged - it was a world wide headline and many countries and people complained.
The media couldn't even give these guys, Barzan Ibrahim and Awad Hamed al-Bandar their own 15 seconds of fame.
Sounds a little tacky to me. But then I'm not in the news business.
