Hmmmmm how many died on 9-11 how much did they cost are they not worth the money? What price tag do you put on a Full Al Queda Iraq where Osama Bin Laden runs things and thier next assault on our country? What price tag do you you put on the safety of our nation? What price tag do you put on our soldiers of which 2 are my sons?? Maybe you should go live over there and then say we are wrong to be there!

It amazes me how many people forgot the terror we all felt on 9/11. If we don't do everything possible to finish this war, to show we're not going to back down to terrorists, we might not have a need for schools, or hospitals, or anything else. I for one, didn't, and won't forget how I felt that day. I can't. We all can stick our noses in the ground and pretend like we're untouchable, but we're not. No country is. That's why the USA is spending billions of dollars in Iraq. It's not just for our beneift but everyones.

I really don't have an answer to give you. Maybe a theory, but no real answer. For some reason George Bush is investing everything in Iraq, because he knows it benefit him in some way. Or he just might be as stupid as we think he is. I read a few weeks ago online the there are over 744,000 homeless in this country. With the money your talking about could be used on schools, hospitals and even homes. With money like that no one in the United States should have to worry about anything. Put that money into our own country and you possibly end poverty in a day. Which is considered not good economically, but could actually improve our society.

The federal government's big responsibility is the defense of its citizens. Without this, hospitals and schools don't mean much. And traditionally, schools and hospitals have been run by private, local, or state agencies, not the federal government.

I'll also ask, why does the United States spend $4 billion a year in giving aid to Israel (more than any other nation, besides the ones we're involved in)?
Not Darfur, not anywhere else recieves that kind of aid.
And when our own people don't have health insurance, etc., you have to wonder why we're allocating massive amounts of money elsewhere.
