We are among the least literate people on this planet, and we're getting worse. It's the change--the constant trendline downward--that interests these researchers. More than one study has correlated this increasing stupidity of our population to the amount of television they watch.

Yes. T.V. has been the major influence for american society since it was invented. Television used to focus on family values and the importance of being kind and civil. Now they focus on who can kill what the fastest and who's soul is for sale. It's all sad and nothing is educational anymore. The familes as we knew them are long gone and forgotten. Look at how the crime rate has risen, drop out rates in high schools, divorce, and drugs. I don't ever remember there being this many gay people, drug addicts, and sex crazed people as there are today. The world is coming to an end. It's in your bible and revelations has your answers for you there. GOD help us all.
