Having watched both videos of the Saddam execution which have been shown on the news I can't help thinking that allowing the execution to be filmed will only make the violence even worse in Iraq.

Saddam came across as being rather dignified while his executioners in their masks came across as being like gangsters.

Also the taunts which were hurled at him show very clearly that these people were his natural enemies.

Should the Americans who were the puppet masters of this execution have made greater steps to ensure that the hanging was not in any way filmed.

This rather concerns me as I have friends who are serving in the army in Iraq and I can't help thinking that what we saw will only put their lives at even great risk.

Does anyone know why the free obituaries in newspapers list all this personal info about a person that's died, but never seem to put down the cause of death? Is it a legal issue?

Saddam didn`t deserve to die...I know, I know, he killed of couple people here and there, that`s just life.....Why are the Americans, most Iraqis, and most other parts of the world so happy to see Saddam hang ? This is just wrong.

In Iraq, there is now an elected government and Sadam is dead.

But Muslim funamentalism is now far more entrenched.

3000 American young men have died, and the last month was the worse.

Corruption, is taking about 1/2 the money we are paying and is making millionaires of all senior officials.

The cost of Iraq to US has reached $200 billion (rather than the $10 billion originally estimated) and to UK probably another £20 billion

The USA is sinking with the weight of its debts and the dollar like wise.

Is it worth it? Or have we gone mad?

A rapist who has struck at least five times since April in and around Baytown has not only spread fear in this working-class community but also piqued the interest of those who study the criminal mind. The reason: He preys on other men.

That makes him something of a rarity in the world of crime.

"It's the least prevalent kind of serial rape, and largely underreported," said Jack Levin, a leading criminologist and director of the Brudnick Center on Violence at Northeastern University in Boston.

Levin and other experts say male-on-male rape sometimes stems from sexual encounters gone bad. But that does not appear to be the case with the rapist in this oil-refining town of 70,000 people about 30 miles east of Houston.

Instead, he methodically identifies and stalks young men and attacks them at gunpoint or knifepoint in or near their homes, according to police Capt. Roger Clifford. Sometimes he robs his victims, too, but rape appears to be the primary motivation, police said.

"This is certainly of interest, an interesting case," Levin said.

The U.S. Justice Department says one in 33 men in the United States has been a victim of a rape or attempted rape, compared with one in six women. Experts say men are far less likely to report a rape to authorities, because they fear being perceived as weak or see the attack as an assault on their masculinity.

In fact, investigators in Baytown fear there may be other victims of the rapist who are too ashamed to come forward.

"There's a lot of emotional damage that goes with being raped, especially when the victims are men," said Lynn Parrish, a spokeswoman for the National Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network. But she added: "The best way to get this rapist off the street is for more people to come forward."

Many people tell me I should submit some of my stories - fiction, as well as non-fiction, to magazines and newspapers. I've jumped on the web, but I'm not sure which are credible and I'm not sure if I should write first and submit or vice versa. I'd love to get some input from people who are experienced in this area.

I mean i suppose for purposes of journying too stars, make sense! I suppose it would be similar to Star Trek food replicators!

Genetically modified food is already sneaking onto our table, and i suppose it may keep certain breeds like the jersey cow in good stock!

Ah and say if you where a cannible (LoL) you could clone your own body parts! You wouldn't be harming anyone then!

In all seriousness, this could be a relevation, as we could stamp out a lot of starvation in certain countries, in one clean sweep!

What are your thoughts?

I agree with many american that iragi war is wrong. However israel has many little iraqi wars. Why do american not support american iraq war and support israels wars. I do not understand this, because at least american tries to rebuilt country after war. Israel did not do this in lebanon.

My views.

there is no video available that shows Saddam from top to bottom falling.

There is a guy with a mobile phone, but as as the person drops, the guy aims his phone atthe ground for about 15 seconds. Then it goes back to a guy lying on the floor with the rope around his neck, but reports said he was on the rope for 10 minutes, before he was brought down?

I am not saying it was not him, I am just adding this and that up, after everything that has happened, Saddam having no respect for anyone, why would he go to get hanged and remain silent?? I know it was suggested he argued with someone, but surely he would have kicked up a fuss.

Anyone else killed in Iraq (Saddams sons) they always have a face on picture in a paper to prove it was them, Only picture we have seen is a side on from about 3 metres away.

Why did Saddam get burried 1 day later?

And for DNA tests.... How easy to fake?

Please dont respond with silly comments, I am just asking.
