I mean i suppose for purposes of journying too stars, make sense! I suppose it would be similar to Star Trek food replicators!
Genetically modified food is already sneaking onto our table, and i suppose it may keep certain breeds like the jersey cow in good stock!
Ah and say if you where a cannible (LoL) you could clone your own body parts! You wouldn't be harming anyone then!
In all seriousness, this could be a relevation, as we could stamp out a lot of starvation in certain countries, in one clean sweep!
What are your thoughts?

The FDA has said that food products from cloned animals will likely contain no special labeling - making it likely that we all will consume cloned animal products without realizing it. This is unfair, unjust, and simply wrong.
Cloning of animals is dangerous for numerous reasons including:
- studies have found unexpected results from cloning animals (the animals often die or have abnormalities... "cloning" is not exact)
- cloned livestock will be prone to epidemics due to their genetic similarities
- too little research has been performed to know the full ramifications
Cloning is unethical
- animals impregnated with cloned eggs have been shown to suffer
- cloning is unnatural, counter to most religious beliefs
- cloning results in the suffering and deaths of numerous animals
- putting cloned milk and meat into the food supply is experimenting with public welfare

Cloning is pretty much reproduction in a slightly altered form. Whole adult animals are not somehow magically produced. Cloning goes on in all living things on a cellular level all the time as our cells reproduce themselves.
Food does not seem to be suffering greatly from anything that is being done to it. The average human lives a longer, healthier life today than even fifty years ago.

~I don't have a single problem with this at all. They don't even label them, why would they? Meat will be cheaper and more plentiful.
What I do have a problem with is how veal is made. The animals are treated badly. Cloning them isn't hurting them.
Some people are against it, but can't give a decent reason why.
If Your eating meat now, chances are, you've eaten cloned meat already!
Bring on the meat!~

By cloning food, I guess we could wipe out hunger, but at the cost, wouldn't it be cheaper to grow more food (only if it is a plant)? Also, if the original food had nothing wrong with it, would it have an ill-effect on us?? I can't see how it could.

Starvation is caused by overpopulation, giving starving populations food without birth control is stupid. Cloning food and tampering with DNA when we don't know how our own DNA works or will be effected, is likewise stupid. The only thing you can do is either test all your food (expensive and impractical) or grow your own, first time that cow steps on your foot or butts you over a fence, and you'll enjoy eating it.

Sounds like you're all for it! Tell you what you should do ... they're going to have to test that stuff before it goes into regular production, so why not volunteer to eat it for a while? If you're still alive and healthy in 10 years or so, I might try it too!
If it doesn't work or turns out to not be safe in the long run, it could also wipe out all of the starving people it's fed to ... either way ... they wouldn't be starving anymore, would they?

... and suppose the cloned food when eaten caused us to change inside - you are what you eat - and a chain reaction started ?
Cloning, genetic modification and nano technology need to be treated with extreme caution, because we could very easily finish up with a situation where everything gets reduced to a grey goo.

I don't think it's a good idea. I don't think they tested the cloned meat enough.
