Right now as we speak, the governor of michigan is considering a bill that would allow security guards in the state of michigan to use tasers on citziens. I think it's bad enough that the police use tasers on citizens, but could you imagine inexperienced security guards tasering citizens. You can find out about the story on google news. If you dont want this bill to pass, then email the governor of michigan with your opposition. Already in the United States, more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police.

The Ipswich murders are absolutley awful and they do indeed deserve the amount of coverage their getting. I am very saddened about what has happened and I can imagine the impact it having on communites in Suffolk, I used to live there myself

Before all this (and I am not complaining so don't misunderstand me) Look East and Anglia TV had a lot of lighthearted and funny headlines, in fact I used to switch over from Reporting Scotland (I live in Aberdeen now) to Look East it was more lighthearted and some the stories were a bit of a laugh. My recent favs are:

Cat receives poisoned pen letter - a cat was sent a letter threatening reprisals if it did not stop eating other cats food in the area. (The letter was sent to the cat not the owner)

a man attacked by a frozen sausage - a man was driving along the M11 and a frozen sausage came flying through his car window and hit him. They even gave him a 5 min interview

Do you know of any funny headlines?

According to Amnesty International, more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. Many critics of tasers argue that tasers are being used on citizens very often and they are not being used as a last resort. In some cases, the police have tasered young children, senior citizens and citizens that have been sleeping. Type in the word "taser" on google, then search the news section and you will finf out that tasers are bing used to liberally on citizens.

I have heard a lot of talk about the iraq war. The reason why im headed to iraq is not because i believe with the politics, im going there because there is a fellow service man/woman over there that didnt ask to go themselves, and they need to be relieved so they can come back home.

We as servicemen and women dont ask to do things we do, we do them because we love our way of life and our freedom, THIS WE WILL DEFEND and is worth fighting for.

From others who have come back from iraq wheather they are senior enlisted or officers they all say the same thing, the insurgency is coming accross the border, id rather we fight them over there than at home. I am sick and tired of looking at the news, i think we need to listen to our servicemen and women, remember one thing, both parties supported the war....

I guess 5 years makes people forget how we were attacked, the point is there is no true entrance into the middle east, we have to be there plain and simple God Bless...

The paper is The News of the World. The reward is for the capture and conviction of the Suffolk killer.

The families of the dead girls have lost their loved ones at Christmas in the most humiliating and painful way possible, shouldn't the £250,000 be divided up among them instead?

Big companies stepped in to help the Farepak people who lost their Christmas money, these people have lost a lot more than that, where is their help when they need it?

Even if the dead girls were prostitutes, they were still people and their families are human beings.

Moral or not, the US is in Iraq and militarily we aren't able to help with the genocide in Darfur. However, people are whining about how we are doing nothing about it. Earth to people... there are other big countries that NEED to step up and do something....

European Countries? China?

Why did the media try to get the Marine in trouble for writing and singing the song "Hodji Girl'? What happened to free speech? How long would it take if there were video's of American snipers putting holes in terrorist on TV for the ACLU and all the peace loving people to try to have it taken off and sue the people who made the videos?

Do people really trust their government SO much? I know 9/11 is a bit much for folks to accept, but why not the JFK assasination or the death of Marylin Monroe? People accept the existence of the Mafia... is it just conspiracies that involve government wrongdoing that they deny? Seems that way...
