Poor prostitutes, what kind of maniatic can do that?

I'm sorry if I was offensive with the term "prostitutes", my reference were the news in the papers. I know the girls had family (brothers, sisters, mother and father), I know their names, Anneli Sarah Alderton, Annette Nichols, Paula Clennell, Gemma Addams, Tania Nicol, all between 19 and 29 years old. I will do a prayer for them.
I hope the killer was captured and punished hardly

Yes I believe so. Contrary to Saints response there are more similarities than occupation. Jack the Ripper killed by strangulation. I know what you're all going to say he ripped his victims to death. This theory has now been disproved and he first strangled his victims then mutilated them. JTR killed Polly Nichols, SR killed both Tania Nichol and Annette Nicholls. Both variants of the Nichols surname. JTR killed Annie Chapman, SR killed Anneli "Crackhead Annie" Alderton, as she was known. JTR victims were found on a Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So were SR. JTR's 4th and 5th victims were found on the same day. So were SR's.

These statistics are all uncanny. Don't you think??

No, Peter Sutcliffe (aka the Yorkshire Ripper) was the "new" Jack the Ripper. The only resemblence between Jackt he Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe and the current murderer is the fact that the victims were prostitutes. This does not, however, mean that the murderer will ONLY kill prostitutes. I believe he is capable of killing non-prostitutes as well, as Peter Sutcliffe did.

And the women WERE prostitutes. That is the major similarity in all the murders. However, they were also women - they were daughters, wives, sisters, cousins, and we should remember that too.

Who ever the man is or they,he or they have not got any rights going around killing innocent people who are struggling to make ends meet. This man must be caught and quickly. I do praise the police for how quickly they are moving with the investigation and also the support the public have given.

" But out of respect I think the media and the police should refer to the deceased as 'women' who were all young and several I understand were mothers. Labelling them as 'prostitutes' will be adding to the pain of their bereaved families...

No, there is no evidence as yet the victims were 'ripped' across the throat as Jack the Ripper or the Yorkshire Ripper did so. Until the method of death is established (and Suffolk Police confirm this) it is not for us to discuss.

Now let these poor ladies rest in peace.

Hhmmm... I do hope you are not being sarcastic? It is so easy to concentrate on the fact that they were prostitutes, but they were also mothers, sisters, daughters, friends... I do feel sorry for their families. Not only have they got to deal with the terrible loss, but also the jokes and nasty things said about the victims.

the only links are the victims occupations and that they were murdered. it may not be just one person, or even just a guy. it may be a couple. if a lone guy, perhaps it is a fetish, or revenge for an STD gained from unprotected sex with a wroker? we wont know till the case is closed with a culprit. if they talk.

prostitutes are targets because they will hop into a strangers car.
they are on the fringe of society and many arent even known for who they are, as their job can be transient and drug fueled. nick names are common, and people never get to know the real person. these reasons make them easy prey for villians and crooks. to rob, rape, and murder. because to many, they are shadows of things we try to forget.

may the killer/s be caught swiftly, as no one needs to be murdered.

Yes that is what the press is calling him, but the press like to sensationalise everything, so every serial killer that comes along in England is called Jack the Ripper.!!!
My condolences to the families.!!!
R.I.P.!!!

Unlikely, there are several differences between the crimes of a century ago and today.

Unfortunately, the media (print in particular) seem to delight in sensationalising such events, applying nicknames and shocking readers.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

dont apologise for the term prostitutes because thats what they were, lest call things by their real names. jack the ripper killed 5 women in 3 year, this time it was in a very short time. it must be someone who really hates these women because i dont think he raped them. or it could be a weirdo who seeks attention.
