Why are security guards allow to use tasers on citizens?

Right now as we speak, the governor of michigan is considering a bill that would allow security guards in the state of michigan to use tasers on citziens. I think it's bad enough that the police use tasers on citizens, but could you imagine inexperienced security guards tasering citizens. You can find out about the story on google news. If you dont want this bill to pass, then email the governor of michigan with your opposition. Already in the United States, more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police.

You bleeding heart types don't want the crooks shot. you don't want them tasered. you don't want them billy-clubbed. about a year ago, I saw a report on a cop getting sued for macing a man who was beating his wife on the street, because he "could" have been allergic (It didn't claim he was, just that he could have been). Just how do you want the bad guys subdued?

The security guards that you speak of will receive training as the police who use them. The thing that you neglected to mention is the number of police, sherriff deputies, security guards, and other officials that have been spit on, beaten, killed and maimed by the same people that you are worried about being 'stung by a taser'. The majority of those who were killed had so much in the way of drugs that they died of heart malfunction NOT the TASER!! I do not like the possibility of anyone being injurred but your argument does not hold water if you do some research. Take the time to study what you have read, PLEASE! Have a great weekend.

Ask yourself why tasers are needed? There is a reason.
THAT REASON is VIOLENT PEOPLE, OK???

Which would you want to get shot by? A gun or a Taser, because it seems you want to get away with something for nothing.

I think only experienced security guards should have them. It comes in very handy especially if there is a person that is committing a serious crime and is not easy to catch. Its a much eaisier way of getting a bad criminal.

Does the word SECURITY (as in Security Guard) have any meaning to you? What kind of weapon should they carry to protect the people they are hired to protect? Hat pins? Water pistols? Hellllooooo!!!
