there is no morality, ethics, professionalism in today"s journalism.news channel plant stories as per there own intrests, when objective achieved they make that breaking news disappeared without any trace.
pepole like Dr. pranoy Roy, Shekhar Gupta are exceptional in indian media.

You must remember that news channels exist because of their financial support from outside advertisers. Therefore, any news you watch is directly affected by the company that advertises most on that channel. News has never been objective since true objectivity does not exist, however, it is only getting worse with big-money companies tilting news stories to the left.

Very true. But we must keep in mind that television anchors/newscasters have no say in what they report. Everyone has to answer to someone. They can only report the news stories that the conglomerate executives let them - and they must tell it however the "big guys" want them too. Who's to blame? Vertical integration. Almost all of what we see, hear and eat are owned by the same few companies.

You are right. Media outlets regularly use victims of crimes to get ratings. It's just sick and the public buys into it every single time.
