John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963. The Warren Commission concluded that he acted alone in killing the president, although later the House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded that a conspiracy may have been involved in the assassination, and the subject remains controversial. Kennedy's assassination is considered to be a defining moment in U.S. history due to its traumatic impact on the nation as well as on the political history of the ensuing decades, his subsequent branding as an icon for a new generation of Americans and American aspirations, and for the mystery and conspiracy allegations which surround it.

Now the real question is, Who shot JR?!?!?
J.R. was originally intended as a supporting character. However, his popularity grew and he became the center of the show. Even though J.R. was one of the most recognized characters since the 1970s, he is best known for the two episodes originally aired in 1980, "A House Divided" and "Who Done It?". These two episodes became famous when the audience witnessed J.R. being shot by an unknown assailant. After the first part was aired in the Spring, the audience had to wait on this cliffhanger until the Fall. Then the perpetrator was revealed as J.R.'s sister-in-law, Kristin Shepard (played by Mary Crosby), who shot him in a fit of anger. This 1980 event became a national obsession known as "Who shot J.R.?"

OK, I've had to explain this a number of times but I read a lot of books on the subject and did a lot of research on his murder (I'm a retired Detective) and I have come to the conclusion that:

a.) The first shot was fired from the 2nd floor West window of the Dal-Tex building, and I think it was E. Howard Hunt's finger on the trigger. This shot missed. He fired again and hit Connolly.

b.) the second was fired from the railroad yard behind the grassy knoll where Zapruder was standing, filming the motorcade. This shot struck Kennedy in the throat and exited through his back being that it was fired from above him.

c.) The KILL shot was fired from the catchmen basin in the drain on the overpass directly ahead of the motorcade by a Texan named W.A.Harrellson (Woody's father) and struck Kennedy just above the right eye, blowing his brains all over the trunk of the limo.

Oswald was a patsy, just like he claimed, but he wasn't really Oswald. He was a CIA Agent who was pretending to be Oswald. Oswald was already dead in 1963.

Lee Harvey Oswald was trained in the Soviet Union to do this mission...

Because JFK made the Soviet Union remove the nukes from Cuba and Kennedy would not remove them from Turkey...

Oswald could of fired off three or four shots, and with the right scope it would of been an amateur shot to hit Kennedy, whereas if you have ever used a scope you would know how accurate they are...

Do not be lead astray by unfounded rumors and propaganda, if Oswald did not do it why did he have the bolt action rifle...
This is the best answer!!!! All others are fairy tales

Definately not Lee Harvey Oswald.

Three shots from a bolt action rifle in that time?, not to mention the fact you can hardly see the road from that book store window, you can't even look out when you go there cus its fenced off with glass!!!

An the magic bullet theory is a joke.

The most effective way of shooting someone in that situation is in crossfire. Using at least two if not three shooters.

It was the Man, probably had a lot to do with the business interests of two certain companies involved in overseas War contracts...

Ding Dong, hint hint.
