No. Not at all. The world is once again sitting idly by and ignoring a genocide. Much like the 1940's when the world watched as Hitler rounded up millions of innocent Jewish people and led them to slaughter in the name of national loyalty. Darfur is also an African country, and is only important to those who wish to rape her of her resources, i.e., (diamonds, gold, slave labor). We as human beings show more mercy and concern for dogs than precious human life. Their is obviously something wrong here. We need to wake ourselves up America, or buy stronger coffee. No wonder the poor nations speak against us. We are quick to start wars, but slow on saving an entire generation.

Oh, but there is oil in Darfur! On April 19, 2005, a spokesman for the Sudan Energy Ministry announced that a new high-yield well had been drilled in North Darfur. Seismographic studies indicated that a huge basin of oil, expected to yield up to 500,000 barrels of crude per day, lay in the area. This Darfur discovery effectively doubled Sudan's oil reserves.
As for paying attention to what's happening in Darfur, governments are more interested in oil revenues than stopping genocides.
