Fighting continues to go on and get worse by the day. Gas prices are going up daily and will probably get worse before they get better. What if....we had another terrorist attack or something equally bad.... how do you plan to take care of your family ? What about food ? Heat ? What can we do to protect ourselves ? Ever think of building a bomb shelter ? What about healthcare ? Are you planning for the future ?

Hippies began as a result of protesting the war or civil action in Vietnaam. Where did they go? Theres very few "rainbow people" who protest the war today. Do modern day hippies care about the war or use it as an excuse not to take a bath? Where have all the real hippies gone?

I get the free speech thing, but I think driving around in a truck with pictures of aborted fetuses on it is a bit much. I can take a van that says "abortion is bad, don't do it", but something like that just kind of pisses me off.

People trapped in Memorial hospital in New Orleans after Katrina were injected with morphine and another drug to "put them down" because they were to ill to be evacuated. It was 10 days before the staff still there got help.I find it hard to fault these people. A tragic situation calls for hard decisions.

the Electric Companies to terminate service for failure of payment during triple digit heat waves. The Electric Companies do not like the idea (duh) and released a statement proclaiming that they already have a policy into play that does not allow the termination of service during triple digit weather. They lied. Because we got nearly a $500.00 electric bill for last month ( I really don't know why so high, we keep thermo on 78) and I called to make arrangements for payment. They threatened us with a cut-off. We have had triple digit weather non-stop here for 2 weeks. I wish there was a way to get this information to the right people and let them know that even if there is a policy on paper, that the Electric Companies do not go by it. Any ideas on who to contact with this information and who to tell that we need this Bill? There are people worse of than me (elderly and such) who cannot pay the high rates and need time to pay off the bill.
