Asking one to address the Apocalypse Armageddon prophecy is a telling inquiry when a response is had. Fundamentally, a serious responder must reveal their core belief system in a way that will point toward their own limitations concerning individuality and personal freedom.
Is the Bible a human construct? From a scholarly viewpoint, the Bible is undeniably a jointly constructed political document, exploited by every fragment of religious leadership since before the formation of Christianity by the Roman Empire.
Written by humans with many agendas, and with those agendas directed toward their own leadership maintaining its power and control over the population, the Bible is fragmented and self-contradictory in the extreme. Those many authors of the Bible recognized that the key to their control of the population lies in the typical person's fear of death and propensity for confusion in the face of of the unknown.
Revelations has been interpreted by many scholars, on many levels. That chapter of the Bible is the primary (but not the only) source for those who cite a coming Apocalypse/Armageddon. The most entertaining account/interpretation is the book series known as "Left Behind", which I found poorly written but a fun mental exercise. Rapture is once again a popular cult theme.
The Apocalypse Armageddon prophecy is a bedtime story. However, we as homo sapiens seem bent on causing it to come true through our hubris and our collective determination to feel that our way is the only way.
Think about it. How many murderous causes have cited, "God is behind us!" as their justification?
Failure to accept the loving enery of life - all of life - is carrying our species - but not this planet - toward doom. Homo sapiens is, in the end, either a failed experiment of nature, or a step in evolution toward something much better than this mess we have gotten ourselves into.

Pardon the cliche, for it has been alluded to a myriad of times in this forum, in particular. Many times, people have talked about the idea of 'free will', and I know that it is becoming a worn-out, almost mundane concept.
Be that as it may, human beings have, to my uncertain knowledge, been in possession of free will. Being that the case, as free agents, we have always been the ones in control of our own destiny.
Peradventure, the apocalypse is either here already, or is perilously close. But then again, we cannot be sure.
I frown upon those who would look at the weather anomalies, for example, and dismiss them as normal acts of nature. I mean, I realize that they are within the perimeters of nature, but they are extraordinary in expanse and ferocity. All these tsunamis, the oppressive heat in the United States and elsewhere, floods happening in places that haven't heretofore experienced them, violent hurricanes, etc...they are all signs from Providence, but if we don't recognize them, we are walking through life with blinders on to true reality.

We are witnessing the decline of the earth’s environment and resources, a prophetic fulfillment of the Bible.
At the Fourth SEAL, one-fourth part of the earth is to be destroyed before we move forward to the next Seal events (Re.6:7-8 below).
Once the one-fourth part is destroyed, we will move through the SEAL events, followed by the Seven TRUMPET events, and, finally, the Seven Last PLAGUE events.
When the world faces acts of terrorism are we not facing beasts of the earth (Re.6:8, Jude 1:10-11, Titus 1:12, 2 Pet.2:11-13 below)?
Re.6:7And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
Re.6:8And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the FOURTH PART of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Beasts of the Earth
Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain (1 Jn.3:12, Matt.13:38), and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Titus 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
2 Pet 2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
2 Pet.2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
2 Pet.2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
