Chernobyl, in the former Soviet Union... 20 years later, and it's still a ghost town. The radiation levels are still too high for people to safely live or work within the quarantined area, several quare miles surrounding the meltdown.

Chernobyl Russia. That was the worst in the world. In the USA we had three mile island. The nuclear plant leached it's poison into the ground in the surrounding area and made it uninhabitable. In Russia, that plant melted down and left the whole area uninhabitable for many years to come.
