We seem to have an increasingly disgusting problem with cockroaches, the previous owners of the home never mentioned this until the papers were signed and such - After many attempts with sprays, "live" traps, baits, etc. we've had no luck. I've read many things that say to use Boric Acid, but I have two small children. I of course wouldn't let them play in it or anything, but is it safe to use around them in the general vicinity (It would be used in the kitchen, which is baby-gated so they can't get in unless with one of us parents)? It doesn't give off a harsh odor or anything?

Sharp has plasmacluster technology (+ & - ion) & honey comb dedorizer to kill germs, mouls & get rid of bad & fishy smell.

Mitsubishi has vitamins making factory to keep veg fresh so as

Toshiba has hybrid Plasma dedorizer doing the same function.

Then there is Hitachi w. nano titanium technology.

Yet Samsung also has nanotechnology.

Too many to choose from.

Carpet Bugs? My boyfriend was lying down on the carpet in the area that he likes to sit to eat but he doesn’t make a mess. When he got up from the carpet he had a lot of bits they look like bed bugs. We never been bitten by anything before so I’m not sure what it was. We live in New York in an area where there are a lot of trees but during this time of the year you don’t see hardly any type of bugs because it is starting to get cold. I just want to know what we should do and what kind of bug is it?

thx.

We live in an apartment, and our refrigerator broke, so the complex gave us a new one that seems to have a roach nest inside the back of it, what is the best way to get rid of them? We keep a clean house, so I don't want to hear that I need to clean my house because that is not the case.

Are there any cheaper gadgets avaliable, which can monitor electricty useage per room in a shared house, other than expensive meters from the utility provider?
Over the Winter time period, some tenants use lots more/less than others , but cannot reconcile the charges amongst themselves. How is the most equitable apportionment possible of the electricity bill?

I'm also not sure how to clean up the burned stuff and rust off that's on it. Please help, I want to prove to my boyfriend that it wasn't a bad purchase :D

As part of a recent remodel of our San Jose, California home,we changed the garage door location of our standard 22'x22' garage from being south facing to west facing.
The problem is the original floor sloped slightly from the north end to the south end (difference : 1.5 inches) - and hence we now have this potential problem of water accoumulating at the new south wall.
The existing floor is in very good condition with the exception of small cracks here and there.
Any suggestions to re-slope the floor without a completely redo is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-ra

I seem to have these little (really little) bugs flying around. I thought they were gnats but now I am not sure. They are about the size of a pin top. I believe they are in & around the houseplants.
Any ideas what they are & how to get rid of them?
