I have kept my bed on the floor without a bed frame. Is it okay or is it bad for the bed, in terms of its durability?

now why would the bed fabric sweat.. . everytime someone lays in the bed the bed would be pushing air out through the box spring and then sucking it back in. mold grow when their is moisture.. where would the moisture come from? you aint gonna sweat that much.. nothing wrong with it.. and no damage to the bed or box

I have 3 children 18,16 & 15. They all for probably the last 5 years or so have put their box spring and mattress on the floor. They liked it better that way. I bought a new mattress and box spring for my husband and I 2 yrs ago.
We just moved into an upstairs apartment. We decided to put our mattress on the floor too just for sound reasons.
It doesnt seem to affect durability at all.

Sure it's OK, but that's kind of like putting a Ferrari engine into the body of a Saturn.

It does not hurt the mattress and box spring.

as far as durability its fine but on occasions check under it because some houses sweat and it could mildew under it other than that its no problem

Might leave a bigger mark on your carpet, otherwise, it's fine.
