I bought a used chiminea and there is fire damage (obviously) and its kinda rusty. I want to re-paint it but I don't know what type of paint to buy that's fire protective. I'm also not sure how to clean up the burned stuff and rust off that's on it. Please help, I want to prove to my boyfriend that it wasn't a bad purchase :D
HELP!

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's or a paint store.

They sell specific paint for anything that gets hot. For grills or fireplaces. I'm not sure about the colors, and it is in a spray can.

A steel wire brush is what you need to brush the rust and damage off, then wipe it down really well before painting.

If it's metal, have it sand blasted. This will remove any rust or flaking paint. Then repaint with a heat-resistant paint.

Steal wool, and heat resistant paint.
