I heard that some people use putty before painting the wall in order to make it easier to paint the wall. They told me that to use putty makes the wall flat and look nicer and you are able to paint the wall easily. I would like to ask if it is common to use it? How to use? and where to buy? thanks!

We don't shower in this restroom
have used draino in the bathtub and sink
cleaned the toilet well
the odor is so repulsive it is is difficult to enter the room
however, it doesn't hang around long and is usually gone by the evening

my neighbours have right of access through the alleyway between our terraced homes, the alleyway is on my property but i have to allow them access. however they choose to use their back door as the main door to their house,and have a notice on their front door saying please use back door , so any visitors to the house come through the alleyway,any hours of the day and night. the alley is directly under my bedroom and also runs past my back garden, where my young children play. i want to put a gate on the alleyway for security and to stop my children getting out onto the road and to give my neighbours a key so they can bring their bins out etc.but want to deny access to everyone else and force them to use their front door for visitors etc. can i legally do this?

A friend took a picture of some raspberries and there was a very unusual looking bug on them. It's small, yellowish orange, has short spikes with brown tips on it's back, 6 long whitish colored legs with black stripes on them. It looks somewhat gummy or squishy. Very cool looking bug - we would love to identify it's type. Please help - and thank you!

I just bought a dehunidifier for my basement because it was recently finished and seemed to have dampness in the air. I started it up yesterday and it collected a lot of water, but the temperature in the room went up 4 degrees and it was getting pretty warm (80 degrees!). I had it set to 45% humidity but then I increased it to 55% when it started getting warm. Is this normal? Does the water in the air make the room cooler? I had a dehumidifier in the basement when I was growing up and don't remember this happening. Thanks!
