Two things:

a) This is time consuming.. I go around the foundation of the house and I caulk(with a caulk gun) all the little crevices/openings that I can find and plug them.. in the foundation and where the foundation touches the main part of the house.. I do this with all of my places.. a lot of work but well worth it. and also. all little crevices where the doors and windows do not close tightly.. \\

AND.. I would buy a good insect spray and SPRAY around the total foundation on the outside

I agree with norman (above)

The insecticide I would use however is granular Delta 8 by Bonide (or deltamethrin). You can make a perimeter application around your foundation. Once it's on the ground water it lightly to activate it.
