The hot weather has meant they need alot of maintenance and i was told they would need some extra nutrients on top of extra water? any ideas? something i can buy easily as the nearest plant centre is milllllllles away :-( someone said sugar or something similar for extra glucose but that seemed a bit strange to me as sugars need to be broken down.

I'm building my house with volunteers and one person hit their nail bad and bleed on the basement floor. Didn't know about it until a few days later. What can be used to remove it? If possible.

A few nights ago as I exited my back door with my dog for his last walk of the night he darted for the bushes, unable to get him out right away I see a black and white thing flung out and recognized the smell and it right away. My dog got sprayed that has been dealt with mostly with a few baths. My problem now is that the skunk is outside my house nightly, driving my dog nuts. Tonight when I walked him we ran into it again in a neighbors front yard, luckily I was able to pull my dog away in time.

The skunk is very young, probably 8-10 inches with it's tail raised, rather cute I must say. I'm not sure of a skunks maternal habits but it's either just out of the creche or the mother abandoned it. If I attempt to remove the skunk using a humane trap will I kill it by placing it in an unknown environment? How do I even do this without getting myself sprayed and stinking up whatever vehicle I move it in? I know where the skunk lives, is there anything I can do to make it move elsewhere?

While I was out of town my Dad let my nephews and nieces run amuck... they threw or wallowed in grass and it got all in the pool.... so naturally it is green with algae. I shocked it 4 days ago, put an algeacide in it yesterday and it's still green. Short of draining and refilling what should I do??? The chlorine is perfect and the ph is good.

I have a mouse in my house or it could be mice.... anyway they (or it) takes the cheese or peanut butter off the trigger mechanism and gets away unscathed. This is very disturbing to me! Anyone know any good ways to get rid of pesky rodents???

help..i am being attacked by these teeny little flies that are very easy to 'kill' with one slap..but they have 'guts'..they will come at me with no hesitation. they seem to be attracted to anything that is wet.T hey congregate around my plants but are Also flying all around the house. I think? they may have come from the potting soil?(don't tell me to replant..this is all new soil)or they just like the wet and the plants/soil to eat. I DON'T want to get rid of my plants and I dare not tell my hubby that I think that this is where they are coming from. (you know the people that house 80 cats..well, meet me..i have all these plants..that keep multiplying every time i 'thin' my house plants out..i don't have the heart to throw away so i root them in water and replant..i try to give them away..but it aint so easy.) so help..how can I get rid of these pests!
