Also, make sure you water your plants a little every day, especially on days when they receive alot of sunlight. Melons, strawberries and tomatoes need more water than other plants. If the leaves look distressed (wilted, yellow-brown) it's time to provide them with a little shade, relief from too much sun.

any good 5-10-5 or 10-25-10 fertilizer, keep watered well they are heavy water using plants, thin fruits to 1 or 2 per vine to achieve maximum size fruits
