Visions of spring time,
Paints a picture in my mind.
In fact so distinct,
That I can almost smell,
The sweetness,
Of the spring flowers,
That are beginning to grow.
As the cold winter breeze,
Progressively warms,
Now letting the sunlight,
Shine onto the trees to bring life,
To new leaves.
Spring time is near,
The dark skies of winter
Are no more.
The sun stays later,
Making the days feel longer,
All because Spring is now here.
Hear the birds chirping in the distance,
Singing their song,
Calling out to one another.
The Delightful assortments
Of tulips and daffodils.
Fills the portrait, in my imagination
With a rainbow of colors.
A portrait so real,
I feel as if I were,
Walking on crisp green grass,
Smelling the fresh flowers
Tasting this seasons fruit,
While feeling the wind blow,
Through my hair.
Listening to the sounds,
Of the ocean,
The waves smacking back and forth.
Watching the children,
Playing outside,
Enjoying the outdoors.
Spring time is like no other,
Somewhere from far,
it comes once a year.

Building lots of houses behind us. Being overrun by rabbits. Having babies. Lots of rabbits everywhere in my yard. How do I get rid of them with having to hurt them. I know that vinegar sprayed around will keep cats away but what about rabbits. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've got a few potted houseplants and I've just got them in regular potting soil. They are doing well but then again I can control their feedings and waterings. I do move 1 of those plants outside in the summer so it will flower, but other than that I've never had a successful outdoor container garden. I'd like to try again, but in my research on the types of soil and drainage to use, I've gotten confused. What works for you all? I'd like to plant some ornamental grass, pansies and petunias in the various containers. I have 4 window boxes and 2 24" containers.

Thanks!

I have had this flower bush in my yard for as long as I can remember. It is so beautiful and it is fascinating and beautiful because it only blooms in the winter time. When it is not flower which is when its not cold there are these dark green leaves glossy leave on it and they are i'd say medium size. But the flower are all this pretty dark red color. And they kinda look like a rose. check out this like to see it, oh and excuse my gigantic smile :-) http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=50355153&albumID=0&imageID=1021571

I'm starting my babies in a pot and they just came up today. If I transplant them to my outdoor flower bed in early May, can I expect them to come up next year? Do they reseed easily?

This cat is driving me crazy. It keeps going in my yard and tearing up my garbage bags and completely ruining my lawn. It keeps digging up and overturning divets in my yard. Half the grass is already gone and the snow's only been melted a week! Last summer he ruined my entire yard. We had to turn it all over and replant it. Now here we go again! I've never seen a cat do this before. It's not my cat and I live in the city so I can't shoot it. (even though, believe me, I'd love to) I can't get ahold of it. Every time I see it doing it, I can't catch it. What can I do? I cannot afford to keep replacing the lawn and it's really an eyesore.

I live in Zone 7b. I am wanting to do a flower bed next to my house facing east. My thumb is not green. Does anyone have any suggestions as to tall flowers for close to the house, mid-high flowers for the middle, and a good border flower? I would like to do a variety of different colored Foxgloves for next to the house and some Phlox for the border. Any suggestions?
