It depends on the climate you live in and the normal conditions of your home.

7 foot tree - It relies upon, how severe are your ceilings? working example, I extremely have severe ceilings in my front room so i offered a tall, skinny Christmas tree (9 ft) and it works nicely and makes use of a lot of veritcal area. If I had a common ceiling, it would look stupid. in case you think of it would artwork, perhaps attempt procuring one first to make certain in case you like it. Bonzai tree - I see those at mall kiosks each and all of the time.

You have to remember these are trees, even if they are small. They still require sunlight and water. If you can, leave the bonsai outside in the summer, and bring it in in the winter. If you have a deciduous tree (sheds its leaves in winter), you can keep the tree in a dark, cool, place until spring. This is the best time to trim and re-pot them.
Good luck, and happy trimming

No, but you MUST keep it in light and give it plant food. Good luck, bonzai trees are so cool yet very hard to do.

Most plants are affected by the size of the pot you put it in. The bigger the pot the bigger the plant. Make sure, check at the nursery about the right kind of nutrients to give it and let it get some fresh air. Set it outside ever now and again. And of course it need sunshine, indoors.

As long as it has plenty of natural sunlight there should not be a problem.
