That's why they work so hard the rest of the year, so they can stay underground when it snows and spend their time staying warm and probably reproducing.

As far as I know, they stay underground, where their burrows of homes are. By the way, the only dumb (or stupid) question, is the one that is not asked.

No Dumb question....But you might get some dumb answers!!!! They do die off,well most of them. But that also depends on where you live.
