I have a large wall space above the fireplace -- 20' ceilings. The space is framed by moulding above the fireplace. All in total probably 6' wide by 13' high. The moulding is white and the walls around it are a dark khaki. I want to do something unique -- from something as simple to painting the space a contrasting color to stacked stone (too expensive).

I've thought of doing box moulding in the area...even a stone tile. I don't want to hang a picture or a tapestry.

Any thoughts?

When taking a shower........
1) Who reuses a washcloth or a bathtowel a 2nd time before putting it in the laundry.
Aren't you using soap with your washcloth anyway, how much cleaner is the washer gonna make it? You're clean so how would your bathtowel be dirty?

2) Do you share a washcloth or a bathtowel?

I'm in the UK, I bought it in France & it never occurred to me it'd have a 2-pin plug. So can I change it to a 3-pin, and what about the earth? Aren't their appliances earthed? I've tried to find an adapter, without success. Enlightenment needed, thanks!

I park my car in the driveway and it is next to a tree. I have nowhere else I can park. I live accross the street from a school and the road in front of my house is no parking. Anyways I have spiders from that d@m tree living in my new truck. Every morning I am clearing out spider webs. The spiderwebs are everywhere. What can I do to get rid of the spiders I have in there right now and what can I do to keep them out. I can not cut the tree down, the wife won't let me. Please help me.

I have a standard wood deck that I am tired of staining every year.
Is there any reason NOT to put indoor/ outdoor carpet over it?

I have tight woven kitchen carpeting, glued directly to the slab in my kitchen.
Can I install Pergo flooring directly over the carpeting?
If so, should I put a vapor barrier between the carpet and the Pergo?

I bought a house with a wood deck in the back that has treated wood, that is about 3 to 5 years old but it has never been stained or painted or finished in any way. This past winter (pacific north west) the wood turned green and so slippery no one could walk across it. How can I prevent that happening this winter
