My friend bought me one from WalMart, & she encouraged me to try a new hobby in caring for plants in order to manage stress. How often should I water it & what else do I need to do in order for it to grow healthy & fine & not die on me within 3 days?

In the past, I've tried to care for roses & make them grow, but they died within 3 days. I think I may have drowned it, not knowing how much water to put in it.

They are pretty small, maybe the size of a quarter, each. Purple, but some get whiter toward the inside of the petals. This is the only one as well. There are not others like this anywhere in my yard.

They are all branching off of one stem and only the bottom teir has bloomed. These are growing in my yard in Colorado and I don't know if they are wild or if the previous owner planted them.

Any suggestions would be great!!!

I don't know how long ago it was planted, it was there when we bought the house 7 years ago. It's getting worse every year, and I can't get my pool clean because dirt is coming through the liner where the bamboo is coming through.

I *rent* a rather large 2 story + a garage home that is about 20 years old. (I DON'T own it, so putting much money into the solution is not an option...)It was built to be a rental, so I've found that a lot of things were done very cheaply. The upper floor, which is where my bedroom, my bathroom and my office are, is SO HOT during the summer, even with the AC on for a long time.

What are some things I can do to help cool down the upstairs without keeping the air on for days in order to do so?

Also, is it better to keep my upstairs office AC vents closed as well as the door since I don't use it as often, or would it be better if I keep the vents for the AC and the door open in the office to help cool my bedroom?

Thanks!

3 young squirrels are coming in to my garden about 10 times a day, digging up young plants, destroying my bird feeders and burying peanuts in my plant tubs.

Should I execute them?

The washing machine doesn't seem to have a lint filter--that would be the obvious thing to check. We bought it second hand--I think it's about 6 years old.

Ok, so we just got a new compressor installed in our heatpump. Its been a week since its been installed...There's a problem with low air flow coming out of the vents; and i mean all of the vents. its not just one. so it takes forever to cool the upstairs even though the air coming out of the vents is cold. This means our heatpump stays on pretty much all day and all night, and I know that is probably not good.

What is causing this low air flow? Do we have to call the repair people, or if there something I could do? Also, we recently had the filters replaced.

I planted my tomato plants about 2 weeks ago from a tiny stalk. Since then, it has heightened into about a foot tall. It is growing great and flowers have developed as well. My question is I heard flowers or something called "suckers?" should be removed from the plant as it takes energy from the plant. Is this true, what exactly needs to be removed and when? Also what other steps should be taken to grow a successful healthy tomato plant with abundant tomatoes? Please give me any information you may have, thank you!

My porch has a 3x20 raised platform to plant plants in. It was filled with sand. I bought about 15 bags of top soil, which ended up making about 4-5 inches of top soil on top of the sand. I planted some tomatoes, flowers, and vines in the top soil. My concern though, is will my plants die when their roots reach the sand??? Thank you for your help!

Does anyone know what I can use to remove baked-on, non-stick cooking spray from my glass bakeware? It's a thin layer but I want to get it off before it becomes thick and even harder to remove.

After the flower is gone there is a very large tough stem left standing. Do you try to cut it off as it would take a saw or leave it to disintergrate?

I am moving to a new state and my movers said I need to get bolts in order to stabilize the drum on my LG front loading washing machine. Best Buy (where I bought the machine) has been useless and can't help me. Where can I find these bolts--can they be purchased at Sears or Home Depot?

I bought this down comforter today at Ross and when I got home and opened up the bag it STINKS like elephant poop! Now I'm not sure if someone used this and made it smell with their gross smell..or if they tried to wash it on their own and I know you can't do that because of the feathers..you have to get them professionally dry cleaned. If i take it to the dry cleaner do you think they can get that smell out?
