My husband and I disagree on this, I want to prep my room for painting tonight with the blue 3M painting tape so I can start tomorrow and get it finished. My husband believes that if I put the tape on trim, ceiling, etc. that when I pull it off tomorrow it will be really stuck and pull some of the old trim paint off. Will 12 hours on the paint really do that?

I have two young maple trees. One was just planted last year. The other one is about three years old. I noticed the leaves have brown spots on them. Anyone know what this is and what to do about it?

A normal 600mm wide washing machine would not fit in my kitchen. I need one around 560mm.

One piece of advice given to many gardeners is to avoid excess nitrogen when growing peppers, that this produces large plants with no fruit. The solution to this problem is to use compost as a source of food instead of chemical fertilizers

My ex said he used to wash his tennis shoes in the washer. I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so did they turn out ok? Do you put them in the sun to dry or the dryer? My 3 year old daughters shoes are pretty dirty, I've never done this before and just would like opinions, thanks.

I have a home in Texas. It's on a slab foundation, heavy clay deposits in the area. My drywall is starting to crack, signs of foundation problems. I also have a stuck door.

The door is stuck at the bottom, with a sizeable gap at the top. The drywall that is cracking is separating from the top of the wall, and angling down.

Based on that information, would you suppose my foundation troubles are a result of the ground settling too much? Or is there pressure building underneath my house?

How long should you keep a small window unit running? Does it need to be shut off for a period of time to let the unit cool down? Or can it be left running for days? It's only about 1 year old, but the owner cant find the owner's manual.

Yeah...So I plan on living in my van during college. Its a 1993 gmc Vandura 2500 the back is aprox 6 by 9.5 by 4.5. Luckily, I have about $3,000 to invest into it (aside from appliances), so it wont be so bad. I've been planning this since I was in 7th grade, however I still have a few issues.

Most importantly, powering the appliances. solar panels would cost too much...so is there any way to power batteries off of the gas engine, and use them during the night? This is a list of the appliances I will use, and approx how long during each DAY....yes, this is quite a bit of power...which is why I also wonder if hooking up several generators (making sure of theft-proofness, and safety w/fumes) would be an option
