Can anyone tell me how to add another AC vent. I have a closet where I keep my cable modem, router and switch and unfortunately it is not air conditioned, I have attic access there and i can see one of those AC boxes with the ducts coming out of it. Can i just add another hole and run some more duct to my attic?

I think the heat is killing some of my flowers in my garden. I water them every evening, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there anything I can do?

Hi there, just checking in to see if you all have some suggestions. I have two dogs, and one is a golden lab/mix. She is our baby, and we allow her on the furniture, mainly our sofa. We do bathe her regularly and she is a clean dog, but she still smells, well , like a dog. Now our sofa smells well , like a dog lol We vaccum it regularly, and at times put blankets over it when she lays on it. I know most of you will say, don't let her on the furniture, but that's not what I'm looking for. I have used febreeze, and that worked for a while. But now it just masks the odor..Any suggestions on home remedies?

I have tried washing them in bleach and it seems to leave a yellow color. Am I using too much, too little, or should I not be using bleach at all?

I have determined that water is coming in my basement (under my fireplace) when it rains because the bricks on the outside of the house (fireplace) have cracks/holes in the morter.I sprayed water on the bricks covering the fireplace (where the tops of some of the bricks are exposed because of the step-like pattern-where the structure goes from being wide to narrow as you get closer to the top of the chimney. That is definitely the source of the problem. What is the best way to seal that?

The first time we sealed our paver patio we used 'sweeping sand' to fill in the cracks, blew it off, and rolled the sealer on with a roller. This drug the sand out of the cracks and sealed it onto the surface of the bricks. We have tried power wahsing, but that also removes the top color layer of the brick leaving a black area.

I own a very old home and the old siding is that wide stuff that looks like compressed wood squeezed together to make about a 12 inch piece of siding. I am female, single and own my own home. I am not sure whether to have the old siding removed or how this all works. Any suggestions appreciated. I think vinyl would make my house nicer.

My homes carpet REALLY needs to be replaced, but I can not affort to do it right now. Occasionally I see people who buy new homes give away brand new carpet because they are putting in hard wood. Is it possible for someone who is not very handy to learn to lay carpet themselves? Have you? How would you rate its difficulty from 1 to 10?

I have to go cheap on this so it looks like i'm going to be getting an a electric one. I saw a Black and Decker one that said 1600psi but a review said it normally is about 1250psi and not too good at removing paint. I have seen several Karthers at advertised 1400psi without that review. I also saw a 1500psi but forgot the brand name of it.

I have an odd sized vanity top that needs to be repaced. I don't want to order a custom top because it costs too much. I would like to buy a single piece preformed vanity top (counter and bowl) from Lowes (see link below) and cut it to size. Most of these tops are made of cultured marble.

Is it possible? Has anyone done this? If so, how?

What am I doing wrong? Last year I had one grow so high that I attached it to my porch and it went as tall as the roof, but I could not get any tomatoes. This year I thought I would be slick and try several different varieties of plants... They all grew, but NO tomatoes. What am I doing wrong?
