Hi there, just checking in to see if you all have some suggestions. I have two dogs, and one is a golden lab/mix. She is our baby, and we allow her on the furniture, mainly our sofa. We do bathe her regularly and she is a clean dog, but she still smells, well , like a dog. Now our sofa smells well , like a dog lol We vaccum it regularly, and at times put blankets over it when she lays on it. I know most of you will say, don't let her on the furniture, but that's not what I'm looking for. I have used febreeze, and that worked for a while. But now it just masks the odor..Any suggestions on home remedies?

I have two fur children, American Eskimos, one of which, well, smells like a dog no matter how much we bathe or deoderize her. I really like two products, one is called Nature's Miracle which is available at PetCo and the other is called Fast Acting, Color Safe OUT, Pet Odor eliminator for carpet, upholstery and fabrics. Both are safe for household pets, do not mask the odors and work well to neutralize the odors with just a spray. OUT is available at the discounters in the pet department and also at some pet supply stores. Neither is a home remedy, all of the one's I've tried didn't work as well as either of these products.

buy a can of lysol disinfectant spray ( the clean linin scent is my favorite) and spray the furniture. it kills germs and eliminates odors at the same time. there is also some stuff called pet fresh powder made by arm and hammer that you can sprinkle on the furniture and vaccum up 15 minutes later. that also works great. you can find both at walmart. the lysol spray is found in the cleaning supply aisle and the pet fresh is found by the airfresheners. hope this helps!

do not use ammonia - it is an ingredient in urine and the pets will imagine it really is the position they're s'posed to bypass. you need to employ an upholstery cleansing company and be conscious if that helps. you need to set it outside in the solar for an afternoon or 2. Carpets and fabrics upholstery is notoriously confusing to get smells out of. you've gotten to retire this one. next time, evaluate delicate leather-depending. it is not any longer so absorbent as fabrics so once you've pets or youthful little ones, it ought to correctly be a significantly better decision. a good better concept - save the pets out of that area of the homestead and confine them to factors without upholstery (except it is meant for his or her use) and significant floor flooring. That way you've gotten an better accessible pastime cleansing up after their messes.
