A great thing to do is very simple and it is actually the best way to clean silver. Cut a lemon in half and dip it into salt. Rub it on the silver. The lemon has acidity that helps to clean and the salt acts as an abrasive. It works wonders. Just rinse off your teaset when you are done.

There are always kits you can buy, but I know a home technique that works wonder! Get a pot and lay strips of aluminum foil on the bottom of it. Use a lot because they will boil up. Then when the water boils but some baking soda in there. Let it boil for about 2 min then drop in one piece of silver at a time. It takes tarnishings right off!

Try using silver polish. I have this polish called Top Brite. I got it at some type of convention. I'm not sure if they sell it in any major department stores. You can always google it, or just get any type of silver polish, and make sure it's sterling silver polish because sterling tarnishes easily.

Arrrgghhhh!

DO NOT use salt & lemon on silver; that's for COPPER!!! (and, commercial copper cleaners are betterm anyway.)

On silver, use Wright's Silver Cream. That's what it's for, so you don't resort to home remedies that can seriously harm your silver.
