Also, you will want to visit the following web site for information from Stanley, and one of the instructions gave an e-mail to contact them if you can satisfy the following:
a) the product was manufactured by The Stanley Works (prior to 1997)
b) the product is covered by a warranty issued by The Stanley Works
c) have a copy of their warranty and product documentation

There is a problem with this brand of door opener. Stanley Works has not made or sold garage doors or garage door openers since 1997.

Stanley may already have a source for you, I would suggest e-mailing them using the address on the web site I listed above.

What all this means is that you may need to contact a door repair shop close to your home for alternate sources for repairing your opener. If they don't carry parts, perhaps they would have a cheap workaround. Hope this helps.
