I have and old trunk I had restored the exterior and removed all paper in side the trunk. I painted the inside with a shellac primer that was suppose to contain the smell, but the trunk still has the smell of moth balls when left closed. What other method is there to remove the mothball smell.

I have a crack that runs from the floor to about 5' up the wall. It is a small crack, only about 1/16" wide.

I fix it with spackle and paint it but it always reappears a couple months later. Last time I fixed it I sprayed it with some polymer before painting it and it stayed fixed for a month or so longer than usual but now it's back again.

Is there an easy way to fix it permanently?

I have simple two-story house with an attached two-car garage on the side. This summer, I am thinking of painting the exterior of my house. My problem is how to reach the second floor sidings (and all the way to the roof) on the side where the garage is. I need to paint the siding on my house which is above the garage. Since the garage has a sloped roof, I do not think it is safe to use a ladder there. I am not sureif I can rent some sort of sacffoling for that or find a ladder base or something like that! Can you give me some ideas.
Thank you all in advance.

I recently had a a/c service tech out to my house ta check my system. He said it was just a little low on freon , so he topped it off. He also said he clean the coils .....and my a/c system shouldn't drip so much water (meaning it dripped alot before)
Now the catch pan in the attic is bone dry, the unit runs all the time, temp. inside goes up ta 85'.....' My electric bill almost doubled.
Can someone please tell me what could have possibly gone wrong ??? did he over charge it ? under charge it ?.
Leave something out or loose ?
